Both episodes later aired as the eighth episode of the Beyblade Burst Surge anime titled "The Jet-Black Sun! Vex Lucius!" on April 3rd, 2021 in America and on May 9th, 2021 in Canada.

Lain’s Blading prowess seems to be the stuff of myth. But that doesn’t matter to Hyuga—he’s ready to go head-to-head anyway! When he does, he learns something incredible about Lain’s Bey, Vex Lucius. Can it really be untouchable? Lui’s ready to accept Lain’s challenge and find out!

- Episodes 15 and 16 are the second and third Beyblade Burst Superking episodes where the Japanese names were changed, as episode 15 was originally going to be called "The Jet Black Sun! Lean Walhalla!" and episode 16 originally going to be called “Conclusion! Lui vs. Lean!, first being Episode 14.
- Episode 15 introduces the second Japanese opening for Beyblade Burst Superking.
- This marks the fourth time that Lui has lost a battle.
- This is the third, fourth, and fifth time a launcher is broken by a character, first being Xander Shakadera in Evolution - Episode 25 and second being Aiger Akabane in Turbo - Episode 25.
- Hyuga narrates both title cards for episodes 15 and 16.
- In the Japanese version of the episode, after the Comets start teasing Hikaru for being scared of Harry, he starts crying with tears in his eyes, but in the English version, he says "Eww, it's so weird" without any tears in his eyes.
- In the manga, Lain debuted with Origin Uranus, while in the anime, Uranus never made a physical appearance and Lain had already created Lucius prior to his debut. Lain's manga debut battle was also a battle between him, Hyuga, and Lui instead of it just being him facing Lui like his anime debut battle.
