First Uranus 00 Metal Accel 1D (ファーストウラヌス・ダブルオー・メタルアクセル・1D, Fāsuto Uranusu Daburuō Metaru Akuseru 1D) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Superking Layer System. It was released in Japan on February 27th, 2021 for 1188円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 24.
Superking Chip - Uranus
- Main article: Superking Chip - Uranus
Uranus is a right-spin Superking Chip that features Uranus, the personification of the sky in Greek mythology. Uranus has an average weight for Superking Chips, and is thus outclassed by heavier right-spin Superking Chips such as Hyperion 2 and Solomon, which have metal, as well as Diabolos and Spriggan, which has the versatility of dual-spin capabilities. Since the differences between most Superking Chips is only cosmetic, it is recommended to use the aforementioned Superking Chips over Uranus, as they offer additional advantages.
Ring - First
- Main article: Ring - First
First is a right-spin Attack Type Ring that features six blades (a big blade and a medium blade molded together on each side followed by a small blade) that are angled downwards, creating a high recoil shape. Its shape is almost identical to that of Super, except with angular contact points rather than round ones to slightly increase its Smash Attack power, less support beams on the underside to slightly reduce its weight, and different shapes for the divots on top of the blades where the stickers go. As part of the Superking Layer System, First is compatible with any right-spin or dual-spin Superking Chip and Chassis.
The angled contact points improve its Upper Attack Potential by allowing it to knock the opponent's Layer upwards when colliding, which increases the chances of it knocking out the opponent. To withstand the force of its own attacks, the First Ring has a thick underside that holds itself and the Superking Chip that's attached a bit higher than the Chassis, which exposes the teeth on the Chassis appropriately, granting great Burst Resistance. Due to the good shape and high Burst Resistance, First performs well in Attack Combinations.
The contact points on the First Ring are aggressive, so it may be liable to chipping and denting. If one is fearful of possible performance changes or simply dislikes the damaged appearance, they may want to own multiple copies of this Ring.
First is very similar in design to Super, which is designed to line up well with the 1A Chassis, which further increases its Attack Potential and Burst Resistance. However, the 2A Chassis allows it to deliver stronger attacks due to the large rubber blades sticking out and increases the combination's overall LAD by a lot.
Chassis - 1D
- Main article: Chassis - 1D
1D or 1-Defense is a dual-spin Defense Type Single Chassis with a blocky perimeter. As a Single Chassis, 1D, along with a Superking Chip and Ring, completes a Superking Layer that can be used with a Disc. 1D is the worst of the three available Single Chassis (the others being 1S and 4A), as it has poor Weight Distribution, poor Life-After-Death, and weighs two-thirds of the weight of 1S.
Forge Disc - 00
- Main article: Forge Disc - 00
00 is a symmetrical, elliptical disc that can facilitate a Disc Frame. 00 is the heaviest Core Disc, outclassing 0 by 1 gram, and has an ideal weight distribution for all Combinations. Its high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) grants it not only the highest Stamina potential out of all other Core Discs, but its weight grants it high Attack and Defense potential. With the use of Disc Frames, 00 can be used to great effect in any Combination. While the weight can increase the risk of Bursts, the weight of most Layers released in the SwitchStrike/God Layer Systems and onward can compensate.
Performance Tip - Metal Accel
- Main article: Performance Tip - Metal Accel
Metal Accel features a plastic flat tip with a small diameter and sits at the standard height. It is the Metal Lock Driver version of the Accel Performance Tip, featuring a Metal Lock and a stronger spring, increasing weight and Burst Resistance. The Metal Lock has shorter tabs than standard and Dash Locks, resulting in lower Burst Resistance, despite the stronger spring. There is a mold variation of Metal Accel: initial releases of Metal Accel have the original Metal Lock design, which can damage a Layer's teeth. All subsequent reprints of Metal Lock Drivers from October 2021 onward feature a running change that shortens the tabs, reducing Burst Resistance but also the likelihood of causing damage to a Layer.
Due to the surface area, Metal Accel will create an aggressive, and if launched at an angle, somewhat easily controllable movement pattern. In terms of speed, Metal Accel is faster than Blow but is slower than Xtreme, capable of reaching and stalling on the Tornado Ridge. Due to the plastic construction, Metal Accel is an excellent choice for both Mobile Stamina and Attack/Stamina Balance Combinations. Furthermore, the solid construction also ensures that Metal Accel will not wear out like other Drivers such as Xtreme nor be damaged like Zephyr.
However, Metal Accel's plastic tip is also a weakness as Attack Combinations using Metal Accel can lose their Banking Pattern somewhat easily, especially if the Combinations are unbalanced. Furthermore, the low friction means that Metal Accel is liable to Self-Knock-Outs.
