Energy Layer - Flame-X Diomedes D4[]
- Main article: Energy Layer - Flame-X Diomedes D4
Hasbro's Diomedes D2 is an Attack Type Energy Layer featuring three walls made from colored plastic and three points made from clear plastic. The points and walls create the visage of a bow and arrow, meant to represent the Layer's namesake; Diomedes, a hero in Greek mythology.
The pointed design of the Layer makes Diomedes D2 ill-suited for Defense or Stamina Combinations and instead function akin to a three pointed Xcalius. While this may imply high Attack potential, Diomedes D2 is crippled by its light weight and the walls that cover the points up, severely reducing recoil.
Forge Disc - 8[]
- Main article: Forge Disc - 8
8, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features four protrusions, each molded into the shape of an "8". Each of the lower loops of the "8"s features gaps, akin to Knuckle, which takes weight away from the center and creates high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Flywheel Effect, features theoretically perfect for Stamina. Furthermore, 8 is one of the heaviest Discs in the game, heavier than Heavy, Gravity, 2, 4, and 6 and its use can bolster a Beyblade's Knock-Out Resistance and Attack potential. However, like other heavy discs with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) such as Gravity and Ring, the use of 8 severely decreases a Beyblade's Burst Resistance as a trade off.
Performance Tip - Defense-S[]
- Main article: Performance Tip - Defense-S
Defense-S, as its name implies, is a SlingShock Performance Tip based off of Defense. However, unlike the original Defense, Defense-S' ball tip is significantly taller and it features two tabs on either side that are connected to the ball tip, which is meant for the activation of the Performance Tip's "SlingShock Mode". As a part of the SlingShock System, Defense-S can be manually altered to switch between "Battle Ring Mode" and "SlingShock Mode"; in this case, by sliding the tabs to the other side, and then pushing both tabs downwards, and vice-versa.
