Flare Ashura 5 Survive Retsu (フレアアシュラ・ファイブ・サバイブ・烈, Furea Ashura Faibu Sabaibu Retsu) is a Stamina Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It was released in Japan on July 20th, 2019 for 1080円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 16.
Gatinko Chip - Ashura[]
- Main article: Gatinko Chip - Ashura
Ashura is a right-spin Gatinko Chip that features three faces with a stylized A adorning the top, intended to represent the Gatinko Chip's namesake, asura, a demigod in Buddhism. Ashura has a standard weight for Gatinko Chips and features seven fine Locks, giving it average Burst Resistance.
Layer Weight - Retsu[]
- Main article: Layer Weight - Retsu
Retsu has three hexagons, one on the right side and two on the left side. That means most of the weight will be concentrated on one side of the Beyblade the Retsu weight is on. Also, the Retsu weight's hexagons don't have that much detail, they are just basic, thus having less weight than detailed weights like Sen and Goku. Being that the weight of Retsu is low compared to more-detailed layer weights stated in the previous sentence, Retsu is heavily outclassed and has no use in combinations.
Layer Base - Flare[]

In-depth information for Takara Tomy's Flare Layer Base will be placed here once drafting has been completed for it. Please be patient.
Forge Disc - 5[]
- Main article: Forge Disc - 5
5, like other odd numbered Core Discs, is asymmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. One side features two protrusions and the other features three, all molded in the shape of "5"s and the center features two small holes on either side. While the asymmetrical design may imply imbalance, the smaller size of two of the protrusions on the three lobed side ensures that the Disc is balanced. 5's overall shape resembles a reversed 4 and acts almost identically with the same high Stamina potential, Knock-Out Resistance and Life-After-Death when paired with Disc Frames such as Glaive or Cross. While 7 has greater Stamina, 5 is still comparable.
Performance Tip - Survive[]
- Main article: Performance Tip - Survive
Survive is a Performace Tip with a low-angled cone shape protruding from a cylinder. As a result, while it is overpowered by some Heavy Defense Combinations, it has still shown to be useful in Stamina-based Burst Combinations.
However, it can also be used as a Defense Performance Tip in absence of better ones, and while it is outclassed, its shape helps it rebound from attacks and prevent Knock-Outs. While good ball-shaped or rubber sharp Performance Tips lack in Beyblade Burst, Survive has enough Stability to take hits without losing all balance and Precessing too early like sharper tips.
