Details on Forged Discs

Single-Piece Forge Discs

This class of Forge Discs are single-piece components, usually composed entirely of die-cast metal[Notes 2] and come available in an assortment of shapes, weights, and designs. These Forge Discs were originally released in Japan in 2015, with the launch of Takara Tomy's Beyblade Burst product line.

Alongside from the standard, die-cast metal Forge Discs, a special type of Single-Piece Forge Disc, called "Material Fusion Disc"[Notes 3], were produced which are Forge Discs using plastic and die-cast metal parts. Earlier examples of this include the Magnum Disc, Jerk Disc, and Polish Disc, with additional entries being introduced further into production. Many of these later entries were featured in the Gatinko Layer Series, including the Blitz Disc, Sting Disc, and Hurricane Disc.

Rip Fire Forge Discs

Rip Fire Forge Discs are a type of Forge Disc™ specifically designed for Hasbro Rip Fire Performance Tips™ parts.

Similar to a regular Single-Piece Forge Disc, Rip Fire Forge Disc is a single-piece component made from die-cast metal. Conversely, unlike a conventional Forge Disc, these Rip Fire Forge Discs lack many of their defining elements, such as a socket for Beyblade Burst™ Performance Tips™ and Stoppers. Unique to Rip Fire Forge Discs is their ring-shaped structure, which has a wide diameter to fit Rip Fire Performance Tips™.

Two-Part Forge Discs

Two-Part Forge Discs are a type of Forge Disc that can be customize using interchangeable Rings[Notes 4][1]. The Forge Disc[Notes 5] is made from die-cast metal and can function independently as a Single-Piece Forge Disc if required, with Rings serving as optional accessories. These interchangeable Rings come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs and can drastically augment the combat capabilities of the Ring-Compatible Forge Disc.

Disc-Integrated Parts

In Japan, Takara-Tomy marketed these parts as Disk-integrated Types [Notes 6] and, as the name suggests, are parts which feature built-in Forge Discs in their structure. Examples of these parts include the Nightmare Longinus (nL) Layer from B-97 Starter: Nightmare Longinus.Ds, the Mugen Driver from the Mugen Beystadium DX Set, the Mugen-L Driver from the B-126 Set: Cho-Z Musou Beystadium, the Hybrid Driver from the B-153 Set: Gatinko Customize Set, the Ignition Dash Driver and the Double Chassis parts from the Superking Layer System.

Internationally, Hasbro marketed these parts of "Fused parts" with the only example of this (currently) being the Lúinor L3 (LD01) Fused Energy Layer and Forge Disc.
