00 (ダブルオー, Daburu Ō) is a Forge Disc released by Takara Tomy and Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the Cho-Z Layer System and SlingShock System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-129 Starter Cho-Z Achilles 00 Dimension on December 27th, 2018. It later debuted in western countries with the release of the SlingShock Starter Pack Turbo Achilles A4 00 Dimension-S.

Description

00 is a symmetrical, elliptical disc that can facilitate a Disc Frame. 00 is the heaviest Core Disc, outclassing 0 by 1 gram, and has an ideal weight distribution for all Combinations. Its high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) grants it not only the highest Stamina potential out of all other Core Discs, but its weight grants it high Attack and Defense potential. With the use of Disc Frames, 00 can be used to great effect in any Combination. While the weight can increase the risk of Bursts, the weight of most Layers released in the SwitchStrike/God Layer Systems and onward can compensate.

Overall

00's heavy weight and ideal weight distribution makes it highly versatile and useful in all Combinations. At the time of its release it was the heaviest Disc available, and 00 remained a viable Disc for almost two years. However, 00 is too light to remain competitive in the current metagame, as it has subsequently been outclassed by later releases in the Superking Layer System and onward, such as Wheel and Over.

As such, 00 is recommended for collection purposes only.

00's high versatility makes it a top tier Disc choice in the WBO's Burst Limited Format, where stronger Discs released after 00 are restricted. 00, along with other Core Discs such as 0, 7, and 10, find use when paired with Disc Frames.

As such, 00 is a must have for competitive bladers.

00 is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.

As such, 00 is recommended for collection purposes only.
