- This article is about Hasbro's Pro Series Disc. For the Takara Tomy version, see Forge Disc - Around.
Around-P is a Forge Disc released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the Pro Series System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Pro Series Starter Pack Lord Spryzen Around-P Fusion'.
Despite its name, Hasbro's Around-P is identical to Takara Tomy's Around. As such, Around-P is a circular, four-sided Forge Disc similar to Sting-P. It is rather wide, and consists of a metal core and plastic underside, with free-spinning metal balls at each of the four points. These metal balls are intended to roll along the stadium floor when the Forge Disc makes contact while the Beyblade is tilted. Around-P has excellent weight distribution, allowing it to be useful in many different Combinations, particularly Attack and Stamina Combinations. However, unlike Sting, the underside of Around-P can cause scraping at the end of a battle. Around-P is especially useful on Performance Tips such as Xtend+, accentuating the high opposite spin Stamina potential of these Performance Tips.
Use in Spin-Equalization Combinations
Around-P can be used in the Spin-Equalization Combination Master Diabolos 2/Longinus/Spriggan Around-P Xtend+. This Combination should be used in the Master Layer Base's Left-Spin mode, as this Combination works best in opposite spin matchups.
Around-P's weight distribution and gimmick makes it highly versatile and useful in any kind of Combination. However, Around-P is too light to remain competitive in the current metagame, as it has subsequently been outclassed by later releases in the Superking Layer System and onward. As such, Around-P is recommended for collection purposes only.
Around-P is not legal in the WBO's Burst Limited Format. As such, Around-P is recommended for collection purposes only.
