This article is about Convert. For Hasbro's HyperSphere Core Disc, see Forge Disc - Convert (Hasbro).

Convert (コンバート, Konbāto) is a Forge Disc released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-150 Booster, Union Achilles Convert Xtend+ Retsu, on September 21st, 2019. It later debuted in western countries as Convert-P with the release of Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Union Achilles Convert-P Xtend+ Retsu.

Description

A Balance Type Disc that can be switched between its Normal Mode, where the center of gravity is aligned with the surrounding guard parts, and its Imbalanced Mode, which has an aggressive eccentric center of gravity.
— Official Description

Convert is a wide four-sided Forge Disc, however, the four points are more pronounced than other four-sided Discs such as Sting. The metal also hangs downwards. The plastic piece on Convert allows for a mode change, where by rotating it, Convert can change from its "Normal Mode" to its "Imbalanced Mode". However, the Imbalanced Mode is not practical, and severely hinders any Combination using it.

Convert's heavy weight and outward weight distribution make it excellent for attack combos, provided you do not mind a scrape risk, but the fact that the metal on the Disc hangs downwards renders it terrible in most other situations. It can work on Drivers like Drift and LAD Drivers, that want low-hanging Discs, but 10Wall is usually the better option for Stamina combinations that prefer low-hanging Discs.

Overall

Convert is a rather heavy Disc for its time, excelling for attack in Gatinko Layer System combos. However, the weight of current Discs far outclass Convert, and other heavier Discs with better weight distribution now do the job better.

Therefore, Convert is recommended for collection purposes only.
