Convert is a Forge Disc released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the HyperSphere System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the HyperSphere Starter Pack, Union Achilles A5 Convert Xtender-H.
Description
Hasbro's Convert Disc is based on Takara Tomy's Disc of the same name. As such, its overall shape resembles the design of its Takara Tomy counterpart. However, it is significantly smaller, reducing its weight. Furthermore, Convert lacks the mode change gimmick of its Takara Tomy counterpart, and has a hollow underside. Like all HyperSphere Discs, Convert is able to use a Disc Frame, like the Core Discs. Due to its light weight, there is no reason to use Convert over Core Discs, which are heavier and have superior weight distribution.
Overall
The light weight of Hasbro's Convert makes it a poor choice in the format. Hasbro's Convert is also strictly inferior to its Takara Tomy/Pro Series counterpart.
As such, Hasbro's Convert is not recommended for the Burst Format.
