- This article is about Hasbro's QD Disc. For Takara Tomy's DB Disc, see Forge Disc - Nexus. For the QD Disc based on Nexus with the S Gear, see Forge Disc - S Gear-Q.
Nexus-Q is a Forge Disc released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Cosmic Vector Battle Set.
Description
Hasbro's Nexus-Q is an eight bladed Disc based on Takara Tomy's Nexus. It retains the same general shape as its Takara Tomy counterpart, but is smaller in size and about 6 grams lighter. Due to its shape, Nexus-Q works best in Attack Combinations.
Like Nexus, Nexus-Q is compatible with the S Gear and D Gear. When the S Gear is set in its face-up position, the four tabs of the S Gear lock into four grooves on Nexus-Q, becoming fixed in place. When set in its face-down position, there are no tabs and thus the S Gear can free-spin on Nexus-Q. The D Gear slides a short distance when struck, repelling the opposing Beyblade.
