Over-Q is a Forge Disc released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the QuadDrive Starter Pack, Astral Spryzen S7 Over-Q Quattro-Q+Quattro I-0.
Description
Hasbro's Over-Q is a QD Disc based on Takara Tomy's Over. As such, it has a round shape with a circular perimeter, creating high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and Stamina potential. Due to the circular perimeter, it has high Life-After-Death (LAD) as well. As Over-Q is purely a weaker version of Over, there is no reason to use Over-Q over the latter.
Overall
As a lighter version of its Takara Tomy counterpart, there is no reason to use Over-Q over the original Over.
As such, Over-Q is not recommended for the Burst Format.
Over-Q has a weight that is on par with that of GT Discs in the format. The round shape of Over-Q makes it a decent Disc option.
As such, Over-Q is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition for the Burst GT Format.
Due to Over-Q's round shape, it is an excellent Disc option for QuadDrive System Attack Combinations. Its weight is comparable to Hasbro's Wheel-SP, as well as Core Discs paired with Disc Frames.
As such, Over-Q is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition for the Burst Limited Format.
Over-Q is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
