- This article is about Takara Tomy's Superking Disc. For Hasbro's SpeedStorm Disc, see Forge Disc - Wheel-SP.
Wheel (ホイール, Hoīru) is a Forge Disc released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Superking Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-161 Booster, Glide Ragnaruk Wheel Revolve 1S, on March 28th, 2020.
Description
Takara Tomy's Wheel is a symmetrical, circular Forge Disc and is one of the heaviest Discs, with an ideal weight distribution for all Combinations. It has four gaps intended to increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and consequently its Stamina potential. The circular perimeter of the design also increases Life-After-Death (LAD). The round design of Wheel leads to the highest Stamina and Life-After-Death of any Forge Disc, outclassing the likes of Outer and Core Disc/Disc Frame combinations. Its heavy weight also grants it high Attack and Defense potential.
Overall
Takara Tomy's Wheel's heavy weight and high Outward Weight Distribution makes it highly versatile and useful in any Combination. It has top tier Stamina thanks to its Outward Weight Distribution, and high Attack and Defense potential due to its heavy weight. Despite the release of heavier DB Discs such as Illegal and Over, Wheel still finds use in some Combinations.
As such, Takara Tomy's Wheel is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition for the Burst Standard Format.
Takara Tomy's Wheel is not legal in the WBO's Burst Limited Format.
Takara Tomy's Wheel is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
