Attack Ring - Upper Wolf[]

  • Weight: 4.9 grams (Mold 1), 5.2 grams (Mold 2)

The AR of Wolborg 2 consists of three wolf heads, with sloped projections which are spaced similarly to those of Triple Wing (Trygle). In right spin, despite the name implying Upper Attack, the slopes of these projections are too short to exhibit this to any useful degree. Thus, Upper Wolf relies more on its Smash Attack, however even here, and despite being shaped similarly to the famed Triple Wing, Upper Wolf is rather ineffective. This is due to the fact its contact points are angled slightly more outward than those of Triple Wing, reducing their ability to land solid hits and greatly increasing the Recoil they produce. As such, Upper Wolf is outclassed by even second-tier Smash Attack ARs such as Triple Attacker and Dark Wing.

In left spin, the triangular protrusions at the front of each wolf head and on the outer edge of each slope provide some Smash Attack, but due to their small size and the fact their leading edges are merely flat faces, Upper Wolf is ineffective in this spin direction.

Mold Differences[]

Hasbro's release of Upper Wolf is reinforced; with additional plastic between the wolf heads and the protrusions which tail them, as well as between those protrusions and the centre of the AR. While this adds some additional weight, it has no measurable effect on the performance of the AR, and as such is considered negligible.

Spin Gear - Right SG[]

Right Spin Gears allow for right spin when used in tandem with Right-Spin Shooters. In a Right-Spin Spin Gear, two tabs (situated close to the right sides of the Spin Gear) would attach to the Right-Spin Shooter, allowing a Beyblade to be spun clockwise.

They have plastic casing surrounding a metal ring and gear which is placed into the Blade Base and held in place by base clips. The core (centre pieces) is not interchangeable in Standard Spin Gears. Different variations have now been released that feature weights, bearings and even an engine inside the Spin Gear.

Blade Base - Fortress Base[]

Blade Base - Fortress is a Blade Base released as part of the Spin Gear System. It debuted with the release of Draciel F on September 2001.

Description[]

  • Note: Only One (1) set of balls is currently legal under Word Beyblade Organization Organized Play Rules. The following information is outdated.
  • Weight of BB Only: 12 grams
  • Weight of BB with 1 set of metal balls (Original Weight): 14 grams
  • Weight of BB with 2 set of metal balls: 16 grams
  • Weight of BB with 3 set of metal balls: 18 grams

The Fortress Base is one of the best Blade Bases for Defense type customizations. SG Oil Ball contains a metal ball with an oil resevoir above it, which makes it an excellent Blade Base for Defense. In fact, due to this round metal tip, it has a tendency to remain in the central area of the stadium in order to avoid attacks. The metal tip causes less friction between itself and the Beystadium which normally allows it to get knocked around in terms of defense, but its ability to hold up to 2 or 3 sets of metal balls prevents this because of the increase in weight.

Fortress Base can hold 2 sets of metal balls in its pocket, and 2 additional metal balls in the small holes in the Blade Base, this does however require a specific Weight Disk. Fortress Base can hold Bearing Spin Gears, making it an extremley useful part. You can create many efficient combos with Draciel F's Blade Base.
