This article is about the Takara Tomy release. For the Hasbro release, see Fusion Wheel - Cosmic (Hasbro).

Cosmic or Big Bang (ビッグバン, Biggu Ban) is a Fusion Wheel released by Takara Tomy as part of the 4D System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the BB-105 Starter Big Bang Pegasis F:D on March 26, 2011. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Hyper-Strike Battle Set in December 2012.

Description

Cosmic is a 4D Metal Wheel that consists of three parts: the PC Frame, Metal Frame, and Core. Cosmic can be configured in four different ways by readjusting the PC Frame and Core components. These modes include "Smash Attack Mode", "All-purpose Attack Mode", "Barrage Mode", and "Upper Attack Mode".

PC Frame

  • Weight: 2.50 grams

Cosmic features a PC Frame, with PC being an abbreviation of polycarbonate of which it is constructed of. Cosmic's PC Frame bears a three-winged design similar to Storm. As always, these three wings are meant to represent Pegasus' wings and feature a slanted gap between each wing. Cosmic's PC Frame also features two square-like holes on each wing to facilitate its mode change with the Metal Frame.

Metal Frame

  • Weight: 25.48 grams

Cosmic features a Metal Frame which, along with the Core, makes contact with the opposing Bey. Cosmic's Core resembles Storm, like its PC Frame. However, it is bulkier and the wings tend to curve upwards rather than Storm's more flatter wings. It also uses three small square-like protrusions sprouting out on each wing, to secure the PC Frame in place.

Core

  • Weight: 13.81 grams

Cosmic's Core is compromised of three, flat, and sharp wings going in a left-ward movement. This makes the overall contact of the Cosmic's Fusion Wheel along with the Metal Frame. It also is designed to hold the Metal Frame into place. It is colored metallic silver.

Overall

Cosmic was a highly anticipated part of the new 4D System upon its release, but Cosmic did not feature high Attack capabilities. Barrage Mode and All-purpose Attack Mode found the most use in some niche Attack combinations, as well as a few Defense combos. Cosmic is best used with tall Spin Tracks, which increases its Smash Attack power. However, with the release of other 4D System Fusion Wheels, as well as the Synchrome System, Cosmic has been heavily outclassed in all aspects.

As such, Cosmic is recommended for collection purposes only.
