This article is about the Takara Tomy release. For the Hasbro release, see Fusion Wheel - Fang (Hasbro).

Fang (ファング, Fangu) is a Fusion Wheel released by Takara Tomy as part of the 4D System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the BB-106 Starter Fang Leone 130W²D on March 26th, 2011. It debuted in western countries with the release of the BB-106 Beyblade Legends Starter Pack Fang Leone 130W2D in July 2014.

Description[]

Fang is a 4D Metal Wheel that is comprised of a Metal Frame and Core. It consists of six protrusions of alternating widths, with one being wide, and the other being narrow and square. Fang has a mode change gimmick, where the Metal Frame can be flipped to change modes. The two modes are Defense Mode and Counter Mode. in Defense Mode the hollow side of the Metal Frame faces downwards, and the contact points are rounded. In Counter Mode, the hollow side faces up, revealing claws. The high recoil and Smash Attack makes Fang most useful in Attack Type combinations

Metal Frame[]

  • Weight: 20.5 grams

The Fang Metal Frame has three mane-like protrusions. These mane-like protrusions act as defensive walls for Fang. In between these three protrusions are holes for the Core to fit.

Core[]

  • Weight: 18.7 grams

The Fang Core has three sturdy protrusions.

Overall[]

Of the two modes, Counter Mode is more useful as it provides Smash Attack. Fang's weight and shape gives it uses in Attack Type combinations, as the high recoil makes it useless in Defense Type combos. However, Fang has been outclassed by later releases of 4D Metal Wheels.

As such, Fang is recommended for collection purposes only.
