- This article is about Hasbro's Hybrid Wheel System release. For the 4D System release, see Fusion Wheel - L-Drago Destructor.
L-Drago Destructor is a Fusion Wheel released by Hasbro. It debuted in western countries with the release of the B-148 Starter Pack L-Drago Destructor LW105LF in May 2012.
The Hasbro release opts to simplify the terminology (as the terms "Metal Frame" and "Core" do not have equivalents), calling the Metal Frame the Destructor Energy Ring and the Core the L-Drago III Fusion Wheel.
Description
L-Drago Destructor is Hasbro's Hybrid Wheel System variant of Takara Tomy's original 4D System release of the L-Drago Destroy 4D Metal Wheel. Compared to the 4D System version, this Hybrid Wheel System variant has a hollowed out Metal Frame, decreasing the weight by 10 grams. Hasbro would later release the 4D System version under the Hyperblades toyline.
L-Drago Destructor is comprised of two parts, the Metal Frame and the Core. Like previous L-Drago Wheels, the three-sided Metal Frame is shaped to resemble three dragon heads. The Core contains rubber which allows for spin absorption.
Metal Frame
- Weight: 28.2 grams
The Metal Frame is made completely out of metal and resembles the previous L-Drago I and L-Drago II Energy Rings in that it features three dragon heads going in a circular motion. The Metal Frame can also be rotated 180 degrees like previous L-Drago Energy Rings, in order to change between two modes, "Attack Mode" and "Absorb Mode".
Core
- Weight: 5.1 grams
The Core has six protrusions going around in a circular manner. Being highly made of rubber, it is used to absorb hits and obtain more Stamina, as well as providing extra weight.
