Storm (ストーム, Sutōmu) is a Fusion Wheel released by Takara Tomy as part of the Hybrid Wheel System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the BB-28 Starter Storm Pegasus 105RF on March 28, 2009, and in Western countries with the release of the Super Vortex Battle Set.

Description[]

Storm is the first Attack Type Fusion Wheel released in the Hybrid Wheel System. As the successor to the Pegasis Wheel, it features a similar three-winged design, although these wings are flatter compared to Pegasis. Each of the wings have slightly jagged ends, which are used for mediocre Smash Attack. When paired with low Spin Tracks like 90 and 100, Storm was once a top-tier Attack Type part. However, it has since been outclassed by countless other Fusion Wheels, such as Vulcan, Lightning and later Blitz and Flash. In addition, Spiral can be considered the successor to Storm, with a similar shape and superior attack capabilties. There is a mold variation of Storm: some releases feature extra metal on the underside, in the deepest channels parallel to the gaps in the wings.

Overall[]

Storm was a decent Attack Type Fusion Wheel at the time of its release. Although it failed to live up to its predecessors (namely Pegasis), it was still a viable Attack Type part. It has however been outclassed by numerous other Fusion Wheels.

As such, Storm is recommended for collection purposes only.
