Energy Layer - Hazard Kerbeus[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Hazard Kerbeus
The motif is of the guard dog of the underworld, Kerbeus. An iron wall Defense Type Cho-Z Layer that receives the opponent's attack with movable chain parts on the outside of the layer.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Hazard Kerbeus is a Defense Type Energy Layer with two large blades and features three dog heads down the center, meant to represent the Layer's namesake, the mythological three headed hound Cerberus. As part of the Cho-Z Layer System, Hazard Kerbeus features metal in its design; in this case, the two blades are lined with metal in the shape of chains. The inclusion of metal makes the Layer heavier than most God Layers.

Hazard Kerbeus also features a gimmick; the two blades are capable of bending inwards to create "Bound Defense", akin to Jerk, Screw Trident, Deep Chaos, and the Layer's predecessor Guardian Kerbeus. Unlike its predecessor however, Hazard Kerbeus uses torsion springs with much greater flexibility.

Hazard Kerbeus features teeth of medium length, akin to Kaiser Kerbeus. While this along with the greater flexibility of the gimmick may imply high Burst Resistance, in practice, the sharp protrusions from the muzzles of the dog heads creates points of heavy recoil. Furthermore, the short distance traveled by the blades makes the gimmick relatively ineffective. These factors create a Burst risk that the teeth of the Layer are unable to compensate for.

Like many other Cho-Z Layers, Hazard Kerbeus is unbalanced; which increases the risk of Bursts, makes it liable to break Banking Patterns and drains Stamina. However, these issues can be solved with the use of a Level Chip that fits underneath the Layer.

Forge Disc - 4[]

Main article: Forge Disc - 4

4, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features two protrusions, one molded into the shape of a "4" and the other molded into the shape of the Roman Numeral "IV". The protrusions extend further from the center more than other Core Discs which grants 4 high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and subsequent Stamina potential. As a Core Disc, 4 is comparatively heavier than regular Forge Discs such as Heavy and Gravity which grants higher Knock-Out Resistance and the ability to facilitate Disc Frames can add characteristics such as Life-After-Death with Cross or Glaive. While 7 has greater Stamina, 4's Stamina is still comparable.

Performance Tip - Merge'[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Merge'

Merge', like its predecessor Merge, features a six pointed flat rubber tip with a sharp plastic tip in the center, that sits at the standard height. Like its predecessors Unite and Merge, when launched straight down into the stadium, the sharp tip in the center will keep the Beyblade stable and still in the center, preventing Stamina loss.

When a mint condition Merge' is either knocked off balance by an opponent or launched at an angle, the rubber will make contact with the stadium, creating an aggressive movement pattern with speeds exceeding Xtreme due to the increased surface area created by the six points. However this aggressive movement is somewhat unreliable as the sharp center can slow it down in the center of the stadium or stop the movement entirely and the greater surface area cripples Stamina.

When worn however, instead of creating aggressive movement when struck, the rubber will instead act as brakes against a Knock-Out, at the cost of Stamina, before going back to stable from the sharp center.

Unlike its predecessor, Merge' features a much thicker spring in its locking mechanism, increasing Merge''s Burst Resistance.
