With the conversion to the new Portable Infobox format and the merge with Beywiki, many articles are in need of being converted. Below, you will find a number of guides to help make your conversion experience smoother.

How to: Create a new article using a Page Layout

Beyblade Wiki now supports article creation using layouts that we have prepared in advance. These layouts follow our new Standard of Editing and we expect all articles, new and old, to follow these layouts.

Upon page creation, the New Article Text at the header of the editor will update to include our import buttons:

Clicking any of these buttons will automatically import the layout you have selected, complete with categories and templates. All you need to do is fill in the gaps!

How to: Convert older infoboxes to our new style

Over the years, Beyblade Wiki has used multiple different infoboxes. With the introduction of Wikia's Portable Infobox system, we're moving away from all of our old templates and towards newer templates. However, these templates use renamed variables and will require you to enter them in the new format.

How to: Utilise Part Imports

As part of our new update, we're giving Parts their own individual articles and having our Beyblade articles import from these. This eliminates the need to constantly update each article that uses one part.

On a Beyblade Article

To use the import, under the appropriate heading on a Beyblade page, use the following markup:

{{Part|PARTTYPE - PARTNAME}}

This will insert a link to the main article and provide an import from the article sourced. For example, {{Part|Layer - Deathscyther}} produces the following:

In-depth information for Hasbro's Doomscizor Energy Layer will be placed here once drafting has been completed for it. Please be patient.

On a Part Article

While an import functions on it's own, it will simply import the entire article if the appropriate tags aren't inserted into the article. In order to import the specific information that we want from the article, all content under the "Description" heading should be wrapped in <onlyinclude> tags. For example:
