Energy Layer - Holy Horusood[]

Main article: Energy Layer - Holy Horusood

Takara Tomy's Holy Horusood is a Stamina Type Energy Layer that features a bird in the center looking left, shown with the Eye of Horus and four feathered blades that make up the bird's wings, two of which consist of clear plastic and two of which consist of colored plastic that are waved. All meant to represent the Layer's namesake; Horus, the falcon headed Egyptian god.

Like Wild Wyvern, while Holy Horusood seems round at first glance, but upon closer inspection its actually square in shape. Each of the corners of this square-like shape and the waves of the two colored blades create points of recoil that make it unsuitable for Stamina Combinations, while the waved blades do allow for some degree of Destabilization, the feathered design makes them too rough to be suited for such a purpose. This problem is further exacerbated by the fact that it features four teeth, the first short in length, and the last three are medium-short in length. As such, it is prone to losses by Bursts, as the teeth are unable to withstand the recoil the Layer creates.

Forge Disc - Upper[]

Main article: Forge Disc - Upper

Upper features two sloped metal wings that, in theory, provide Upper Force in Right-Spin and Down Force in Left-Spin. However, in practice, the low angle and short width of the wings makes any Upper or Down Force effect negligible. Furthermore, Upper is light in weight, lower than the more popular choices for Stamina; 4 and 7, making its Knock-Out Resistance sub-par compared to the aforementioned Discs.

Performance Tip - Claw[]

Main article: Performance Tip - Claw

Claw features a low angled cone tip akin to Survive, albeit with a smaller diameter, with four free-moving "claws" along the sides of the Tip, akin to Metal Fight Beyblade's C145 Track. When spinning, the centrifugal force will force the claws up and outwards to in theory increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and in turn increase Stamina. In practice however, such an effect is negligible and does little to increase Stamina potential. Furthermore, when spin speed drops and the claws fall back down they scrape against the stadium floor and reduce Precession time, making Claw outclassed by Survive for Stamina. However, the claws grant Claw decent Knock-Out Resistance as they will scrape against the stadium floor if a Claw Combination is struck and resist Knock-Outs at the cost of Stamina, akin to the tabs of Defense. Furthermore, the small point of contact creates low friction with the stadium floor and increases Burst Resistance.

Trivia[]

  • Horusood's name is derived from Horus, the Egyptian God of the sky and the tutelary deity of Nekhen in Upper Egypt. This is enforced by Horusood's avatar: an armored falcon.
  • This Beyblade shares the Claw Performance Tip with Trident Heavy Claw.
    • Coincidentally, this Beyblade utilizes the Orange Claw Performance Tip.
