Horusood H2 Triple Orbit, known as Holy Horusood Triple Orbit (ホーリーホルスード・トリプル・オービット, Hōrī Horusūdo Toripuru Ōbitto) in Japan, is a Defense Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan on October 22nd, 2016 for 972円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 4 Quad Quetzalcoatl.J.P.
Energy Layer - Horusood H2
Main article: Energy Layer - Horusood H2
Horusood H2 is a Stamina Type Energy Layer that features a bird in the center looking left, shown with the Eye of Horus and four feathered blades that make up the bird's wings, two of which consist of clear plastic and two of which consist of colored plastic that are waved. All meant to represent the Layer's namesake; Horus, the falcon headed Egyptian god.
Like Wyvron W2, while Horusood H2 seems round at first glance, but upon closer inspection its actually square in shape. Each of the corners of this square-like shape and the waves of the two colored blades create points of recoil that make it unsuitable for Stamina Combinations, while the waved blades do allow for some degree of destabilization, the feathered design makes them too rough to be suited for such a purpose. For the Takara Tomy release of Holy Horusood, this problem is further exacerbated by the fact that it features four teeth, the first short in length, and the last three are medium-short in length. As such, it is prone to losses by Bursts, as the teeth are unable to withstand the recoil the Layer creates.
Forge Disc - Triple
Main article: Forge Disc - Triple
Triple is a three-sided Forge Disc, which is circular, with a triangle stacked atop it creating knob protrusions. It has use in Attack, especially on three sided layers like Valkyrie since it focuses some weight around those three main protrusions, but it is not as useful as a Forge Disc like Gravity, as it is too light to be really effective in Attack, and too imbalanced to use in other Combinations.
Performance Tip - Orbit
Main article: Performance Tip - Orbit
Orbit features a free rotating plastic ball tip with a diameter equal to Massive, surrounded by a three tabbed ring. In theory, the wider tip would increase a Beyblade's KO Defense by having greater surface area and friction, however, in practice the free rotating nature of the ball reduces most of the KO resistance given by the surface area of the ball. Like other ball based Defense Performance Tips, the tabs around Orbit are meant to act as brakes against KOs at the cost of Stamina by striking against the stadium floor, however, the large diameter makes such contact rare. If hard launched, Orbit creates an aggressive movement pattern early in the battle, bringing the Beyblade to the Tornado Ridge.
While these features may imply that Orbit-based Combinations would be easy to KO, in reality the heavy weight of SwitchStrike/God Layers and Core Discs compensate for the rotating ball. Furthermore, the free rotating tip increases the Burst resistance of an Orbit-based Combination and Orbit consistently has a stronger spring lock than Atomic which further improves Burst resistance.
In addition to the Defense properties, Orbit also features high Stamina as the free rotating nature reduces friction with the stadium floor, the wide ball tip keeps a Combination stable and thus prevents scraping.
