Ian Papov, known as Ivan Pakhov (イワン・パホーフ, Iwan Pahōfu) in Japan, is a character in the Original Series, consisting of Beyblade. He is a member of the Demolition Boys.
Appearance
Ian is the shortest member of the Blitzkrieg Boys. He has a long nose and wears goggles that are quite bigger than his face.
Personality
He is typically cool and cold, like Kai. Often he's with Tala in the first season, although the two never really talk.
History
Ian was trained and raised in the Abbey, along with Tala, Bryan, and Spencer.
Plot
Beyblade: 2000
When the Bladebreakers return to Balkov Abbey to find Kai, Ian and Tala stop them from entering. Ian also has a battle with Tyson to distract them, which he eventually forfeits.
At the World Championships, he defeats Steven with ease when the Demolition Boys faced the All Starz. He goes with the Demolition Boys to hunt down Kai and when Black Dranzer is given back, he helps to destroy it.
When the Demolition Boys ambush the Bladebreakers, he purposely loses against Max to help Bryan and Spencer draw out Draciel.
Beyblade: G-Revolution
Ian disappears when the rest of his team formed the Blitzkrieg Boys.
In the manga, it is shown that he had battled Kai for the last position, but lost and returned to Russia.
In the Japanese exclusive ending, he is seen with the rest of the Blitzkrieg Boys, having rejoined the team.
Beyblade
Ian has the blade Wyborg, given to him by Boris Balkov. It is a purple normal based blade that seems to be based on defense just like Max's Draciel. His Bit-Beast is Wyborg, a Serpent-like bit-beast, seemingly with a ground affinity. It appears to be based on a sidewinder snake, which is a desert snake known for its particular "side winding" travelling method across the desert sands.. Ian's Beyblade moves in a pattern that loosely resembles how the sidewinder snake travels.
