Impact Drake 9-60LR (インパクトドレイク9-60LR, Inpakuto Doreiku Nain Shikusutī Rō Rasshu; Impact Drake Nine Sixty Low Rush) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy. It was released as a Starter in Japan on December 28th, 2024 for 2420円.
It is the successor to Cobalt Drake 4-60F.
Blade - Impact Drake
- Main article: Blade - Impact Drake
Impact Drake is an Attack Type Blade with four blades acting as the main contact points. The Gear Chip features the side profile of the Blue Dragon (Seiryū), one of the Four Auspicious Beasts from Chinese mythology. Like the other Team Pendragon Beyblades, the Gear Chip has the Bakuten Shoot Beyblade logo, in this case being on the dragon's neck.
As part of the Unique Line, Impact Drake has rubber Launcher Hooks instead of metal ones, which increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). In addition, it features an Unique Line gimmick: each of the four blades have rubber dragon heads. The 4 primary contact points are located where the end of the rubber dragon heads meet the metal portion of the blades.
At the time of its release, Impact Drake was the heaviest Blade available, weighing 39 grams on average. The aggressive shape of the jagged contact points creates extremely high Burst Attack and Knockout (KO) Attack. However, these contact points will wear down with use, with the metal denting in a manner similar to the wear issues of the DranSword Blade. The rubber dragon heads will also dent and chip, increasing contact with the metal portion of the blades. It is thus recommended to have several copies of Impact Drake for competitive usage.
Ratchet - 9-60
- Main article: Ratchet - 9-60
The 9-60 Ratchet features 9 protrusions at a 6.0 millimeter height. Compared to previous Ratchets, the protrusions of 9-60 are narrower and do not protrude outwards as much. 9-60 has lower Burst risk than other 60 height Ratchets due to its smaller protrusions and low height, which reduce the amount of Ratchet contact with the opponent. Six of the nine protrusions are merely small nubs, while three are intended to line up with the Launcher Hooks of the Phoenix Wing Blade, creating "Attack Points" with high Smash Attack.
Bit - Low Rush
- Main article: Bit - Low Rush
Low Rush or LR is an Attack Type Bit that features a flat tip that creates aggressive movement, which makes it easier to contact the Xtreme Line (X-Celerator Rail) to perform the Xtreme Dash gimmick. Low Rush is a shorter variant of Rush (R), and is about 1 millimeter shorter. Like its regular counterpart, Low Rush has a smaller diameter tip and less gears than other flat Bits. The fewer gears means less Stamina is used when contact is made with the Xtreme Line when an Xtreme Dash is performed. However, a consequence is having a slower Xtreme Dash, although this is intended to increase the frequency of Xtreme Dashes, hence its name - "Rush" [Attacks]. The lower height of Low Rush also makes it easier for a combo to perform Upper Attacks.
The ring around the Bit has three indents to indicate it is a Low-type Bit. Unfortunately, this design is also prone to breakage, and as such it is recommended to have multiple copies of Low Rush on hand.
