Lord is a Layer Base released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the HyperSphere System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Lord Spryzen S5 and Crash Roktavor R5 Dual Pack.
Description
Hasbro's Lord is a dual-spin Balance Type Base based on Takara Tomy's Lord Base. Lord has a similar shape to its Takara Tomy/Pro Series counterpart, with four blades: two feature faces representing a spriggan, a creature from Cornish folklore, and the other two of which are large painted blades. Notably, Hasbro's Lord lacks the rubber blades of the Takara Tomy/Pro Series version, instead being painted to resemble them.
Like its SwitchStrike predecessors, Lord features a dual-spin gimmick; any GT Chip is compatible with the Base. Although it retains the general shape of the Takara Tomy/Pro Series version, Hasbro's Lord lacks the metal and rubber, reducing its Spin-Equalization abilities. While the asymmetrical design may imply different performance depending on spin direction, Lord's round design makes little difference.
