Opening! Battle Bladers (開幕！バトルブレーダーズ, Kaimaku! Batoru Burēdāzu) is the eighth chapter of the Metal Fight Beyblade manga series and the fourth chapter of the second Metal Fight Beyblade arc.
Plot[]
Ginga is sleeping on a bus alongside Kenta on their way to the Battle Bladers Tournament, who will determine the best blader in Japan. Everyone on the bus then arrive at the event's giant arena. The moderator Blader DJ then explains that all the blader's will be fighting in a battle royale. However the bladers would be divided into 8 sections of 125 bladers depending on the letter they draw from A to H, the last two survivors advance. After drawing Ginga and Kenta both discover that they are both fighting in the same battle as they both got the letter "A", Kenta asks Ginga to not hold back on him due to his months of training and Ginga promises to give it all he's got. Unbeknowst to the both of them Basujima was listening and is now worried as he also has the letter "A", his plan was to regain both his honor and Ryuga's respect for him but since Ginga was in the same match as him, it was certain that he would be eliminated. Though Basujima figured out if he took out Kenta then he would claim the second spot. Basujima then purposely crushes Kenta's Saggitario! Kenta believes that it's all over for him but then a masked stranger named "Pheonix" then comes around and turns Kenta's broken beyblade into Flame Saggitario C145S! The battle soon begins, but Ginga uses his Starblast Attack to eliminate 122 bladers in one go, now leaving only him, Kenta, and Basujima. Basujima then attacks Kenta, and Ginga planned to help Kenta. Kenta then told Ginga that it was his battle. During the battle, Saggitario transformed and knocked Scorpio out of the ring, sealing his and Ginga's spot in the tournament! Soon after the next section toom place and Ryuga takes down every blade much to Ginga's and Kenta's surprise and shock.
