Energy Layer - Odin[]

The motif is of the war god, Odin. A right-spin Attack Type Layer with an oval-shaped saw blade that can give a powerful attack.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Odin is an elliptical Energy Layer that features three sloped blades on the longer sides and the center features a face on either side with only one eye colored red; meant to represent Odin, father of Thor in Norse mythology.

While elliptical shapes normally generate high recoil, the sloped blades act like those found on Wyvern; deflecting attacks and reducing recoil. Furthermore the elliptical shape concentrates this Layer's weight onto two sides creating a high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and Flywheel Effect, giving Odin comparable stamina to Deathscyther. Odin features three teeth of medium length allowing it to withstand most of the recoil that isn't deflected by the blades the elliptical shape produces. However, like other pre-Xcalibur Layers, Odin's teeth will wear down quickly with use, meaning that multiple copies must be purchased to replace ones that have worn down.

There are two mold variations of Odin that have been released. The second mold reinforces one side increasing the weight by 0.2 grams and making the Layer slightly off balanced. However this does little to affect performance.

Forge Disc - Armed[]

Armed is a symmetrical Forge Disc with six round shield-like protrusions and engravings along with two bumps on either side that make room for the Forge Disc's slots. While it has a bulky appearance implying a heavy weight, in reality it is actually very light due to how hollow it is. Armed’s lightness gave it the greatest Burst Resistance of any Forge Disc at the time while the relatively smooth surface reduced recoil when struck if paired with a Performance Tip with poor Stability. However, this same lightness severely reduced Knock-Out Defense and Stamina as a trade-off.

Performance Tip - Claw[]

DriverClaw
Main article: Performance Tip - Claw

Claw features a low angled cone tip akin to Survive, albeit with a smaller diameter, with four free-moving "claws" along the sides of the Tip, akin to Metal Fight Beyblade's C145 Track. When spinning, the centrifugal force will force the claws up and outwards to in theory increase Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and in turn increase Stamina. In practice however, such an effect is negligible and does little to increase Stamina potential. Furthermore, when spin speed drops and the claws fall back down they scrape against the stadium floor and reduce Precession time, making Claw outclassed by Survive for Stamina. However, the claws grant Claw decent Knock-Out Resistance as they will scrape against the stadium floor if a Claw Combination is struck and resist Knock-Outs at the cost of Stamina, akin to the tabs of Defense. Furthermore, the small point of contact creates low friction with the stadium floor and increases Burst Resistance.
