Bearing Drift (ベアリングドリフト, Bearingu Dorifuto) is a Performance Tip released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-203 Ultimate Fusion DX Set in Japan in October 8th, 2022.

Description

A Defense Type Driver with large guard parts that can generate centrifugal force with a free-spinning tip and has a low overall height for high stability and contains a built-in bearing for high Stamina.
— Official Description

Bearing Drift is a wide, round Performance Tip with an octagonal shape and a low angled, free-spinning, conical sharp tip. As its name implies, Bearing Drift is an upgraded form of the Drift Performance Tip with the addition of ball bearings supporting the free-spinning sharp tip. Compared to its predecessors, its conical sharp tip is slightly taller, with the center protruding more; this increases height by 1.5mm.

The sharp tip of Bearing Drift creates low friction with the stadium floor, resulting in high Stamina and Burst Defense. The addition of ball bearings reduces friction between the tip and the shaft, increasing the free spin further and thus the Stamina. In addition, the wide diameter of the free-spinning sharp tip helps maintain stability. These factors, combined with the overall round shape of Bearing Drift, creates high Life-After-Death (LAD), and works particularly well against Opposite-Spin opponents.

The addition of ball bearings introduces a weakness similar to the original Bearing Performance Tip: poor Knock-Out (KO) Resistance. This is caused by the free-spinning tip; due to the low friction between the tip and stadium floor, Bearing Drift is highly susceptible to Knock-Outs.

Overall

Due to its high Stamina, Burst Defense, and Life-After-Death (LAD), Bearing Drift is an excellent Performance Tip for Defense and Stamina Type Combinations, particularly against Opposite-Spin opponents. The ball bearings further increases Bearing Drift's high Stamina potential.

As such, Bearing Drift is a must have for competitive bladers.
