This article is about Charge Metal-SPM. For its normal counterpart, see Performance Tip - Charge Metal.

Charge Metal-SPM is a Performance Tip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the SpeedStorm System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the SpeedStorm Starter Pack, Triumph Dragon D6 Armed Charge Metal-SPM.

Description

Charge Metal-SPM is a rather large and bulky tip, with most of the contact surface with the stadium being made of metal. As a result, it is currently the heaviest Performance Tip. However, outside of weight, this Performance Tip does not offer much. This Performance Tip's height, as well as it's large weight compared to most Hasbro Layers, makes it highly unstable, and negates any stamina potential the Zephyr style tip would offer. It is taller and has a wider tip than its Takara Tomy counterpart, Charge Metal, which was already outclassed, and these properties make Charge Metal-SPM even more unstable, and therefore, even less viable than its counterpart.

Overall

Charge Metal-SPM is a rather heavy tip, which seems promising for weight-based attack, however, its instability and low stamina make it rather outclassed in every sort of combo.

Therefore, Charge Metal-SPM should be considered for collection purposes only.

Trivia

  • Despite the -SPM suffix, Charge Metal-SPM is not a true SpeedStorm Metal Driver, as it lacks metal on the upper section of the Driver. It is more accurate to refer to it a -SP version of Charge Metal.
    • The name of this Driver in the Beyblade Burst App was changed from Charge Metal-SPM to Charger-SPM in late June 2021, and was reverted a few days later. This name change would imply (inaccurately) that it is a -SPM version of the original Charge Driver.
  • It is physically impossible to launch a combo with this Driver and the Nightmare Lúinor L3 Layer, as the imbalance prevents the combo from spinning properly.
