This article is about High Xtend+'. For its normal counterpart, see Performance Tip - Xtend+. For its QuadDrive Armor Tip counterpart, see Armor Tip - Xtend+.

High Xtend+' (ハイエクステンドプラスダッシュ, Hai Ekusutendo Purasu Dasshu; High Xtend Plus Dash) is a Performance Tip released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-192 Booster, Greatest Raphael Over High Xtend+', on November 13th, 2021.

— Official Description

Takara Tomy's High Xtend+' is a High and Dash Driver variant of Xtend+, featuring a taller height than the standard Performance Tip, as well as increased Burst Resistance due to a stronger spring. Like its regular counterpart, High Xtend+' features the adjustable Xtend Chip (エクステンドチップ, Ekusutendo Chippu) tip with three modes: Attack, Defense and Stamina.

The Attack Mode features a wide, hollow flat tip, wider than Assault and akin to Zephyr at the standard height of most Performance Tips. Due to the surface area of this mode, High Xtend+' will create a highly aggressive movement pattern with speeds greater than Assault. However, the wide diameter of the tip makes it difficult to maintain a banking pattern and creates relatively low Stamina, making the mode poorly suited for both traditional Attack and Tornado Stalling Combinations.

The Defense Mode features a low angle, stepped cone tip at the standard height of most Performance Tips. Due to the stepped cone, when an High Xtend+' Combination is struck and reaches higher on the Stadium's slope, the flat edge of the tip will create a second point of contact, briefly increasing friction and aggression to both slow down the Combination and counterattack. However, due to the edge of the tip being made of plastic rather than rubber like in Unite and smooth rather than tabbed like in Defense, the effect of the second point of contact is minimal, creating poor Knock-Out Resistance.

The Stamina Mode features a low angle cone tip, akin to Trans' Stamina Mode at a lower height than most Performance Tips. Due to the low friction, High Xtend+' creates excellent Stamina. Of the three modes, the Stamina Mode has the best performance.

In all three modes, the tip's low angled base and wide diameter grant High Xtend+' high Life-After-Death potential, comparable to Zone'+Z and Bearing'.

Overall

While in theory High Xtend+' is a versatile Performance Tip due to having three different modes, in practice the Attack and Defense modes lag behind their closest equivalents, and are heavily outclassed. However, the Stamina Mode's high Stamina potential, combined with some of the highest Life-After-Death potential in the game, makes High Xtend+' one of the best choices in the current metagame for Stamina Combinations.

As such, High Xtend+' is a must have for competitive bladers.

High Xtend+' is a top tier Performance Tip for Stamina Combinations in this format, as its Stamina Mode has high Stamina and Life-After-Death (LAD) potential. In this format it can be paired with Energy Layers such as Chaos.

As such, High Xtend+' is a must have for competitive bladers.
