Hunter-S is a Performance Tip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the SlingShock System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Guardian Kerbeus K4 and Blizzard-X Giga Gaianon G4 Dual Pack.
Description
Hunter-S is an Attack Type Performance Tip and Hasbro's SlingShock counterpart to Hunter. Like its normal counterpart, Hunter-S features a flat rubber tip with a circular depression in the center. The rubber tip creates a moderately aggressive movement pattern that can be controlled with a Banking Shoot. The diameter of Hunter-S's rubber tip is wider than its normal counterpart, and even Xtreme, creating higher speeds at the cost of control. Both releases of Hunter-S also have harder rubber than the normal Hunter. Hunter-S's high friction reduces the chance of losing a Banking Pattern in battle, making it an excellent choice for Attack combinations. As with other rubber flat tips, Hunter-S has low Stamina due to the high friction of the rubber tip.
Like other SlingShock Performance Tips, Hunter-S features a "Battle Ring Mode" and a "SlingShock Mode"; in the case of Hunter-S, the flat tip is simply twisted and extended downwards, increasing its height. While "Battle Ring Mode" is generally preferred due to its standard height, "SlingShock Mode" can be used in combinations with a high scrape risk, such as those utilizing QuadDrive Layers.
Overall
Although Hunter-S has high Attack potential, it can only be used with Hasbro Layers, which are too lightweight for the format.
As such, Hunter-S is not recommended for the Burst Format.As such, Hunter-S is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition for the Burst GT Format.
As such, Hunter-S is a must have for the Burst Limited Format.
As such, Hunter-S is a must have for the Burst Classic Format.
