Wide Flat or WF is a Performance Tip released by Takara Tomy as part of the Metal System. It debuted in Japan with the release of Quetzalcoatl 90WF in 2008. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Bakushin Susanow 90WF Starter Pack in April 2012.
Description[]
Wide Flat (WF) is a wider variant of the Flat Performance Tip, and is twice the size of Flat. While Wide Flat is much faster due to the increased surface area, it has very poor grip and thus struggles to hold a flower-like pattern. It has since been outclassed in terms of width by Extreme Flat (XF).
Overall[]
The poor grip makes Wide Flat a poor Performance Tip for Attack Type combinations. In addition, with the release of XF, there is no reason to use WF.
As such, Wide Flat is recommended for collection purposes only.
