Energy Layer - Phantazus P2
Main article: Energy Layer - Phantazus P2
Phantazus P2 is a Stamina Type Energy Layer that features four waving blades, two of which create the visage of two wisp-like skulls or spirits on either side, representing its Japanese namesake; phantoms.
Like Wyvron W2, Horusood H2, and Regulus R3, Phantazus P2 seems to be round at first glance, but upon close inspection is actually square in shape. Each of the corners of this square shape and the wave-like design of each of the blades create points of recoil that make it unsuitable for Stamina Combinations. For the Takara Tomy release of Psychic Phantom, this problem is further exacerbated by the weak teeth it has, which are akin to the teeth of Wild Wyvern, which ends up being the downfall of this Layer. Like Wild Wyvern, its teeth are so short that they are unable to withstand the recoil that the square shape and waved blades create, making Psychic Phantom highly prone to losses by Burst.
Forge Disc - Polish
Main article: Forge Disc - Polish
Polish, like Magnum and Jerk, is a Forge Disc made up of metal core and plastic perimeter with the letter, in this case "P", embossed onto the plastic on either side with the plastic making up the gimmick of the Disc.
For Polish's gimmick, the plastic creates a "skirt" with a perfectly smooth and circular perimeter meant to, in theory, create high Life After Death so that a Stamina Combination can Out Spin its opponent. In practice, the gimmick works as intended, however, a single factor restricts Polish's performance in Stamina Combinations; the plastic construction.
Due to having a metal core and plastic perimeter, Polish has a Centralized Weight Distribution rather than an Outward Weight Distribution which creates poor spin retention and spin times making Polish Combinations liable to being Out Spun. Furthermore, the same construction makes Polish very lightweight and makes Combinations highly vulnerable to KOs.
However, the same lightweight allows Polish to be used to great effect in Spin Equalization Combinations as the low weight creates low inertia and makes it easier for a Polish Combination to Spin Equalize and the high Life After Death allows Spin Equalization Combinations to Out Spin their opponents by a few more rotations.
Performance Tip - Edge
Main article: Performance Tip - Edge
Edge features 4 vertical wings that descend toward an apex, making for a sharp bottom. Due to this pointy tip, it suffers from very poor balance, causing it to tilt on its axis and even topple over sooner than other Performance Tips from the Burst System, such as Defense, Survive, and even Claw. Edge's wings are 90° apart which seem to have the intention of Stabilization. However, this effect is negligible and possibly even is a contributing factor to this Performance Tip's imbalance.
