Phelix Payne, known as Phenomeno Payne (フェノメノ･ペイン, Fenomeno Pein) in Japan, is a character appearing in the anime series, Beyblade Burst QuadDrive. He holds a vendetta against Rashad Goodman after previously losing to him in battle as a rookie blader in Europe.[3] He later reappears with the title of the Phoenix (不死鳥, Fushichō), with his new Quad Beyblade, Prominence Phoenix Tapered Metal Universe-10, seeking to defeat Rashad.
Appearance
Phelix has blue eyes and pink hair with cyan highlights with a bang the covers his right eye. His hair on top is shorter while the sides are near waist-length, hanging over his left shoulder near his neck. He wears an orange and black bodysuit with black and orange stripes surrounding the outfit, pink flame-like wings attached to his chest with a V- shaped flame crest. These wings bursts to flames whenever he does his launch. He also adorns a red annulated armwear with two ring-shaped arm braces on the wrists placed on his left arm, black gloves with a cyan and red square on the back of his hands, a red annulated tube for a belt with two similar-but-broken tubes situated at the back trunk. He also dons a yellow long kilt with black edges and two black stripes in the left.

Phelix has a fiery personality with a desire for vengeance to those who cause him wrong.
Biography
Background
Before the events of QuadDrive, Phelix competed in the European Junior League, but was defeated by Rashad in the finals of the league, who told him "Your blading style is boring". The word "boring" stayed in Phelix's memories, until he remembered it after seeing Rashad battle against Bel in the Great Aerial Tour.

He made his debut in Episode 40 of QuadDrive, with him first seen throwing his Bey Prominence Phoenix Tapered Metal Universe-10 into a volcano which erupts along with his crimson flare. He later appeared greeting Rashad when he won Bashara and Ilya in a battle royale to test the new Hybrid Drive Stadium and asked Rashad did he forgot about him. Rashad is then impressed by Phelix's new Quad Bey and decided to challenge him, however Phelix decides to challenge Bashara and Ilya first. Rashad then gave permission to Bashara and Ilya to battle him but the duo lost to Payne by a burst finish.
Phelix then arrives at Phantom's Gate to challenge Bel but Ranzo also wanted to battle Payne so the duo decided to face off in the Hybrid Drive Stadium to decide who gets to face off with Phelix. He then observes Bel and Ranzo's match alongside Jinemon Daizora and Hanna Suiro with Phelix being impressed by Bel's victory against Ranzo. Phelix then battles Bel on the Hybrid Drive Stadium with Phelix winning him with a burst finish.

- Prominence Counter: Prominence Phoenix uses the Metal Universe Driver to abruptly change direction and counter-attack the opposing Beyblade with equal force.
- Prominence Dive: When in free fall after the Prominence Shield is out of commission, Prominence Phoenix crashes down on the opposing Beyblade, causing critical damage.
- Prominence Shield (Special Move): After being detached from Prominence Phoenix, the Prominence Shield is used to attack the opposing Beyblade.

- Phelix is the second character to own a motif that was originally owned by a former antagonist, following Lodin Haijima and his Zone Lúinor.
- Phelix is the fourth of four QuadDrive characters whose initials are the same as their Bey, Prominence Phoenix, the others being Bel Daizora, Rashad Goodman, and Ilya Mao.
- Phelix shares his birthday with Honey Guten, making them the fourth pair of Burst characters to have the same birthday, the first being Toko and Nika Aoi, the second being Phi and Hyde, and third being Akira Yamatoga and Ilya Mao.
- They are also the second pair to not be related, following Akira and Ilya.
- Phelix has a habit of saying the phrase "Crimson Flames" (紅蓮の炎, Guren no Honō).
