Energy Layer - Phoenix P4

Main article: Energy Layer - Phoenix P4
Phoenix P4 is a Defense Type Energy Layer that features a bird in the center and four feathered blades that make up the bird's wings, representing the Layer's namesake; the mythical immortal bird, the Phoenix. As a part of the Cho-Z Layer System, Revive Phoenix features metal in its design; in this case, lining the tips of the wings and surrounding the center. The inclusion of metal makes Revive Phoenix heavier than most SwitchStrike/God Layers. Phoenix P4 also features a gimmick; the Layer can Burst twice.

To Burst twice, the four bladed outer perimeter making up the wings, known as the Revive Armour, is attached to the rest of the Layer by a mechanism different to what connects a Layer to a Performance Tip and will only release once a Revive Phoenix Combination loses a click. Since the Revive Armour has a weaker lock than Revive Phoenix's own medium length teeth, it parries impacts with the opponent akin to Tornado Wyvern's free-spinning Layer. While the loss of the Revive Armour makes the Layer much lighter, the smoother perimeter this action creates reduces recoil to compensate.

Furthermore, the Revive Armour is left in the stadium so as to interfere with the opponent's Tip and impede Banking Patterns and reduce Stamina. However, this can also interfere with the Phoenix P4 Combination.

Like many other Cho-Z Layers, Revive Phoenix is unbalanced which increases Burst risk and drains Stamina. However, these issues can be solved with the use of a Level Chip that fits underneath the Layer.

When Phoenix P4's Revive Core is combined with the Dread Armour from Dread Phoenix P4 or Revive Phoenix's Revive Core is combined with the Dead Armor from Dead Phoenix, Phoenix P4/Revive Phoenix is classified as a different Layer and as such, any differences in performance will be listed on the Perfect Phoenix P4/Perfect Phoenix page.

Forge Disc - 12

Main article: Forge Disc - 12
12, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Frame. Each side features three protrusions with the center protrusion in each set featuring molding in the shape of a "12" and four holes in the center, akin to 6. While the aggressive design of the Disc may imply high Burst potential from Disc-to-Layer contact, due to the fact that most Burst Performance Tips are of the same height, such contact is rare. Furthermore, 12's design is so aggressive that there have been numerous cases of the Disc severely damaging Layers that collide with it. Finally, 12 is the lightest Disc at the time of writing, lighter than even Armed which severely hinders Attack, Defense and Stamina potential. While the light weight would create high Burst resistance, the heavy weight of the SwitchStrike/God Layer System and the Cho-Z Layer System makes the use of lightweight Discs for Burst resistance obsolete.

Performance Tip - Fusion'

Main article: Performance Tip - Fusion'
Fusion', like its predecessor Fusion, features a plastic flat tip with a small diameter and a small protrusion in the center, akin to Flat Sharp from Metal Fight Beyblade, and sits at the standard height. The center of the Driver also contains an embossed logo featuring a stylized letter "F" for easy differentiation from other Drivers.

When launched parallel to the stadium, Fusion' will spin on the protrusion, creating a stable, Stamina-conserving spin. When knocked off balance by the opponent or launched at an angle, the flat tip will contact the stadium floor and create a movement pattern with the same speed as Accel before returning to balancing on the protrusion.

However the aggressive movement is unreliable as the protrusion can slow a Fusion' Combination down in the center of the stadium or stop the movement entirely. Furthermore, the small size of the protrusion means that when a Fusion' Combination slows down and lists, contact will be made with the flat base, severely reducing Stamina.

Unlike its predecessor, Fusion' features a much thicker spring in its locking mechanism, increasing Fusion''s Burst resistance.
