Prominence Knight Legacy Sword'-1 (プロミネンスナイト・レガシー・ソードダッシュ-1, Purominensu Naito Regashī Sōdo Dasshu-1) is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series. It was released in Japan on September 10th, 2022 for 1400円 as one of five possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 30.

DB Core - Knight

Main article: DB Core - Knight

Takara Tomy's Knight is a right-spin DB Core that features the helmet of a knight, akin to its predecessor, the Air Knight Cho-Z Layer. Knight has below average Burst Resistance and Stamina performance compared to other right-spin DB Cores.

Knight features a gimmick: when struck by an opponent, a vertically positioned built-in spring mechanism causes the DB Core to tilt sideways, which increases Knockout (KO) Defense by cushioning the impact and pushing back the opponent. This spring-loaded "Bound Defense", which is reminiscent of the Deep Chaos God Layer, makes Knight excellent in Defense combinations. Despite this, due to its low Burst Resistance and Stamina, Knight is outclassed by other right-spin DB Cores that have greater Burst Resistance and Stamina.

Knight is compatible with the "BU Lock" gimmick. When paired with the two BU Lock compatible DB Discs, Xanthus and Moon, raised protrusions on the Disc tabs lock into two grooves on Knight. This results in increased Burst Resistance and a sturdy combination, preventing the Disc from shaking during battle.

Blade - Prominence

Main article: Blade - Prominence (Takara Tomy)

Takara Tomy's Prominence is a right-spin Defense Type Blade with a wide round perimeter. Like its predecessors, the Revive Phoenix and Dead Phoenix Cho-Z Layers, Prominence has the "Prominence Shield" attached to the Blade via a locking mechanism. The Prominence Shield can be attached vertically or horizontally; depending on the orientation, Prominence is either in "Normal Mode" or "Heavy Mode". In its Normal Mode, the Prominence Shield is easier to knock off during battle. The loss of the the Prominence Shield makes the Blade lighter, but the smoother perimeter created reduces the chance of a Burst. In its Heavy Mode, the Prominence Shield is more difficult to knock off as it is impeded by the Armor locking mechanism. When the Prominence Shield is knocked off and left in the Stadium, it can interfere with the opponent and impede Banking Patterns and reduce Stamina.

Due to its weight distribution, Prominence performs poorly against Same-Spin opponents utilizing popular right-spin Blades like Wind. Furthermore, if the Prominence Shield is knocked off, its Stamina is severely reduced. Prominence finds some use against left-spin Opposite-Spin opponents, and the Heavy Mode is recommended to avoid the reduction in Stamina.

The primary usage of Prominence is in pure Defense combinations against right-spin Attackers. The Prominence Shield will absorb much of the impact from attacks; although it can also be used against left-spin Attackers like Guilty, it is not as effective against left-spin Attackers as Blades such as Barricade. However, if the Prominence Shield is knocked off, Prominence is vulnerable to Knockout (KO) Attack.

Armor - 1

Main article: Armor - 1

Takara Tomy's 1 is an Armor with its weight focused at a single point. The asymmetrical design creates an imbalanced weight distribution, which increases Attack capabilities. The imbalanced design of 1 is intended to work in tandem with the Xcalibur DB Core and Xiphoid BU Blade in High Mode.

Forge Disc - Legacy

Main article: Forge Disc - Legacy

Legacy is a circular DB Disc with six downward sloping blades along its perimeter. It is essentially the DB Disc version of Boost, whose design Legacy references. In addition, two of the blades feature a "Z"-like design that are references to the Zenith Disc. In theory, the blades are intended to produce Down Force in right-spin, increasing the grip of the Beyblade on the stadium floor by pushing air downward and create Upper Force in left-spin which would decrease the friction between the Beyblade and the Stadium floor by pushing air upward. In practice however, the Down/Upper Force created is negligible and the blades reduce the Life-After-Death (LAD) of Legacy. Due to its shape and weight distribution, Legacy works best with Attack combinations.

Performance Tip - Sword'

Main article: Performance Tip - Sword'

Sword' features a wide, metal, six-pointed star tip, akin to a combination of Iron, Assault and Jaggy. Due to the shape and surface area, Sword' will create a highly aggressive movement pattern with speeds comparable to Assault. However, the rough perimeter, low friction of the metal and wide diameter of the tip makes it difficult for Sword' to maintain a banking pattern and creates relatively poor Stamina despite the metal construction, making Sword' ill-suited for Tornado Stalling Combinations as well.

Furthermore, Sword' features two sword-like protrusions on either side. Due to the height of the Burst System, no Combination can come into contact with the protrusions and they instead create a severe scrape risk, nullifying Life-After-Death potential. When paired with the Xcalibur line of Layers, the protrusions are meant to line up with the Layer's sword point to increase Attack potential. However, the protrusions are too small have any noticeable effect.

Finally, Sword' is taller than most other Performance Tips which further reduces Attack potential as most Attack Type benefit from being at lower heights. Like other Dash Drivers, Sword' features a stronger spring lock, increasing the Performance Tip's Burst Resistance.
