Gambit is a QS Blade released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack.

Description

Hasbro's Gambit is a right-spin Attack Type QS Blade based on Takara Tomy's Gatling BU Blade. Gambit has a round shape similar to its Takara Tomy counterpart's pre-gimmick activation "Slashing Hit Mode". Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Gambit is a single plastic piece and does not have a mode change gimmick, and is unable to switch into a "Consecutive Hit Mode". Despite its Attack Type classification, due to its round shape, Gambit is best suited for Stamina Combinations. Its general shape is nearly identical to Hasbro's SpeedStorm System Triumph Ring, and as such provides the same traits along with a heavier combined Layer weight. Like other QD and QS Blades, Gambit can switch between Apex and Core Modes by swapping the position of the Gravity Ring from the top of the QS Blade (Apex) to below it (Core). Furthermore, the 4 and 4' Gravity Rings are recommended, as they are the heaviest Gravity Rings available, weighing 1.7 grams each.

Overall

Compared to Layers released by Takara Tomy in the Dynamite Battle Layer System, QuadStrike Layers like Gambit are too light to compete in the metagame.

As such, Gambit is not recommended for the Burst Format.

Gambit is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
