Rage (レイジ, Reiji) is a Ring released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Superking Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-168 Booster, Rage Longinus Destroy' 3A, on June 27th, 2020. It later debuted in western countries with the release of Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Rage Lúinor Destroy' 3A.

Description

A left-spin Attack Type Ring that continuously hits the opponent with its two super-heavy metal dragon heads and strongly flicks the opponent with its upper blades.
— Official Description

Rage is an Attack Type Ring that features two metal dragon heads on the side and two upper blades. The weight on the metal dragon heads make this ring capable of having high Knock-Out and Burst potential. Like its predecessors, Lost Longinus and Nightmare Longinus, the shape is designed to have heavy recoil and produce Upper Attacks. This is further complimented by Rage's alignment with the 3A Chassis, which accentuates its Upper Attack capabilities.

Hasbro's release of Rage under their Pro Series toyline is manufactured with softer plastic than the original Takara Tomy release.

Use in Attack Combinations

Rage can be used in the combination Rage Diabolos/Helios 2/Spriggan Destroy'/Jolt'/Quick'/Xtreme' 3A.

The strong teeth of the Diabolos/Helios 2/Spriggan Superking Chips can be put on Rage to finish the Energy Layer, and the alignment of 3A adds more Attack power to the combination. The high Attack power and speed of Destroy'/Jolt'/Quick'/Xtreme' also further bolsters the Attack power and adds more Burst Resistance due to the golden spring within the Performance Tip.

Overall

Rage's heavy weight, Knock-Out and Burst potential makes it one of the best Rings for Attack Combinations. It could also be used in Balance Combinations utilizing Drift, and was by far the strongest Ring released. However, with the release of the Dynamite Battle Layer System, Superking Layers such as Rage have become less impactful. However, Rage is still a powerful choice, albeit less centralizing as during its release year.

As such, Rage is not a must have but is instead a welcome addition to a blader's collection.
