Triumph is a Ring released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the SpeedStorm System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the SpeedStorm Starter Pack, Triumph Dragon D6 Armed Charge Metal-SPM.

Description

Triumph is a right-spin Attack Type Ring with four blades as its primary contact points, which are stylized like dragon wings. Unlike most Attack Type Layers, these blades are less pronounced. This is because, unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart Tempest, Triumph does not have the mode change gimmick, which extends "Bound Blades" outwards. As such, Triumph is based on Tempest's round pre-gimmick activation state, with no Bound Blades extended. Like other Hasbro Rings, Triumph does not use a Chassis and the underside of Triumph is hollow, leading to a light weight comparable to SwitchStrike System Layers. Triumph has high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD), and unlike most Hasbro Rings, it is not elevated, reducing its likelihood of destabilising.

Use in Defense/Stamina Combinations

Triumph can be used in the Defense/Stamina Combination Triumph Dragon D6 00/0/7/10Cross/Expand Absorb-S/Atomic/Atomic-S. Triumph is complemented by the high Outward Weight Distribution and Stamina of these parts, offering an excellent mix of Defense and Stamina traits that make it viable in the Burst Limited Format. Its performance in Stamina Combinations is comparable to that of Tide Treptune T3 and Archer Hercules H4.

Overall

Triumph is inferior to its Takara Tomy counterpart Tempest, lacking its gimmicks and ability to make use of a heavy Chassis. Due to this and its round shape, Triumph is ineffectual for Attack Combinations. Despite these changes, Triumph finds use in the WBO's Burst Limited Format. Its round shape and excellent Outward Weight Distribution creates Stamina performance that is comparable to that of right-spin Stamina Type Layers such as Tide Treptune T3 and Archer Hercules H4, with a similar mix of Defense and Stamina traits. However, it has since been outclassed by the QuadDrive System QD Blade, Gambit, which has an almost identical shape but a heavier weight.

As such, Triumph is a must have if the Blader plans to compete in the Burst Limited Format.

Trivia

  • All Beyblades with this Ring have upside down stock photos.
  • All CGI renders and box art depict this Ring in its Takara Tomy counterpart's Awakened Mode, rather than the Bound Mode that the actual product is based on. This suggests the prototype design was intended to be in its Awakened Mode but was changed at a later date for an unknown reason.
