Vex is a Ring released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the SpeedStorm System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the SpeedStorm Starter Pack, Vex Lucius L6 2D-D Mobius-SP.
Description
Hasbro's Vex is a right-spin Defense Type Ring that features twelve small points along the perimeter of the Ring. The points are angled downward in order to deflect attacks. Despite being designed for Defense, Vex is recoil heavy due to its shape; the twelve points stick outward too prominently. Furthermore, Vex's light weight creates low inertia, which combined with the high recoil design, makes it prone to Bursts. As a result, Vex's shape is ineffective for Attack Combinations, and its weight is ineffective for Defense and Stamina Combinations. Even within the Burst Limited and Hasbro-Only formats, there are more viable Energy Layers available.
Overall
Vex's poor contact points make it ineffective in Attack Combinations, and it is too recoil heavy for other Combinations.
As such, Hasbro's Vex is recommended for collection purposes only.
