Roar Bahamut Giga Moment-10 (ロアバハムート・ギガ・モーメント-10, Roa Bahamūto Giga Mōmento-10) is a Defense Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Dynamite Battle Layer System. It was released in Japan on June 26th, 2021 for 1232円 as one of two prize Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 26.

In the toyline, it is the successor to Dread Bahamut 7Wall Orbit Metal Gen.

DB Core - Bahamut

CoreBahamut
Main article: DB Core - Bahamut

Takara Tomy's Bahamut is a left-spin DB Core that features a dragonic head representing the DB Core's namesake, Bahamut, a monster from Arabic folklore. Bahamut has high Burst Resistance due to its gimmick: Bahamut features a slope instead of Locks, akin to Hasbro Layers, and a "Rubber Lock". The Rubber Lock gimmick consists of two rubber protrusions on either side, as well as in the center of the DB Core. The friction caused by the rubber protrusions creates resistance, making it more difficult for a Bahamut combination to Burst. Although Bahamut does not have the "BU Lock" gimmick, the rubber protrusions interact with the raised protrusions on the Disc tabs of the two BU Lock compatible DB Discs, Xanthus and Moon. This results in increased Burst Resistance that makes a Bahamut combination very difficult to Burst.

As Bahamut has the highest Burst Resistance of all left-spin DB Cores, it is recommended in any left-spin combination, alongside the Longinus DB Core. Bahamut should be used when Burst Resistance is being prioritized over the weight that Longinus provides.

Blade - Roar

BladeRoar
Main article: Blade - Roar (Takara Tomy)

Takara Tomy's Roar is a left-spin Defense Type Blade with a gimmick similar to its predecessors in the "Bahamut" Layer line. As the Roar combination begins to lose "clicks" and progresses through the Lock towards Bursting, two protrusions are pushed outwards, changing Roar's initial elliptical shape into a rounder circular shape. In practice, the useful circular shape cannot be consistently used. Despite its Defense Type classification, Roar does not perform particularly well in Defense combinations, instead being used in Stamina combinations. Roar has generally worse Same-Spin Stamina than Vanish, with moderate Opposite-Spin Stamina performance. Roar is best used on wide Opposite-Spin Stamina Drivers such as Drift.

Armor - 10

10 (B-186)
Main article: Armor - 10

Takara Tomy's 10 is an Armor with triangular shapes at ten points. This design creates a stable weight distribution and high Stamina, as its weight is evenly distributed among ten points. As such, it is highly versatile and one of the most useful Armors, and finds the most use in Defense and Stamina combinations.

Forge Disc - Giga

Main article: Forge Disc - Giga

Giga is a symmetrical, octagon-shaped DB Disc, with high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). The design is a homage to Gravity. It is one of the heaviest Discs available, and can be used in any combination. Its high Outward Weight Distribution gives it high Stamina, while its heavy weight gives it high Attack and Defense potential.

Performance Tip - Moment

DriverMoment
Main article: Performance Tip - Moment

Moment is a Defense Type Performance Tip that features a ball shaped tip surrounded by a downwards facing dish that free spins, similar to Guard. Unlike Guard, Moment's dish can also tilt at an angle, in theory increasing Knock-Out (KO) Resistance. When hit, the tilting dish is intended to readjust itself to regain balance. If Moment is balanced, it features performance that can go up against meta Performance Tips such as High Xtend+'. However, if Moment is knocked off balance and unable to recover, it will Destabilize.

Notably, the B-194 and B-198 releases of Moment feature dishes that can free spin more than the original B-186 releases, increasing Stamina performance, and as such are recommended over the latter.

Trivia

  • Like its predecessors Arc Bahamut 2Bump Atomic and Dread Bahamut 7Wall Orbit Metal Gen, Roar Bahamut's name is based on the words "roar", a full, deep, prolonged cry uttered by a lion or other large wild animal; and Bahamut, a gigantic fish or whale that lies deep below, underpinning the support structure that holds up the Earth in Arabic folklore.
  • Roar Bahamut's avatar is an altered variant of Arc Bahamut, like Dread Bahamut, with distinguishing features:
    • A quadrupedal dragon with a reptile body frame.
    • A long iguana-style tail.
    • A canine-framed head with dark-blue antlers, a turquoise gem on the forehead, magenta scales on each side of the neck, and turquoise flowing furred whiskers.
    • Four purple wings with magenta glowing sections.
    • Four legs structured outward with a turquoise spike on each outward leg portion, and dark-blue claws.
    • And a gray underside, from the neck and running down the torso to the tail's underside.
  • This Beyblade reuses the Giga Disc from Cyclone Ragnaruk Giga Never-6.
