Roktavor R2 Knuckle Yielding, known as Rising Ragnaruk Knuckle Yielding (ライジングラグナルク・ナックル・イールディング, Raijingu Ragunaruku Nakkuru Īrudingu) in Japan, is a Stamina Type Beyblade released as part of the Burst System as well as the Dual Layer System. It was released in Japan on July 16th, 2016 for 972円 as one of eight possible Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 3 Yaeger Yggdrasil.G.Y.
Energy Layer - Roktavor R2
Main article: Energy Layer - Roktavor R2
Roktavor R2 is a Stamina Type Energy Layer that features an elliptical shape akin to its predecessor Roktavor. Like its predecessor, the Layer's wings are molded into the visage of a head on either side, matching the anime's rendition of the Layer's beast; a winged demon. The placement of these wings is where the majority of the Layer's weight is, creating a high Outward Weight Distribution and Flywheel Effect which bolsters Roktavor R2's Stamina. While this may imply high Stamina potential, these wings also make up the primary points of contact, creating a recoil heavy design that severely diminishes the Stamina benefits of its Outward Weight Distribution and Flywheel Effect. While the high recoil of the elliptical shape and the wings may imply high Attack potential, the Takara Tomy release of Rising Ragnaruk features weak teeth that are unable to withstand the aforementioned recoil, meaning that this Layer is prone to losses by Burst.
Forge Disc - Knuckle
Main article: Forge Disc - Knuckle
Knuckle is a circular Forge Disc with six notches around the perimeter and four holes near the center of the Forge Disc. The letter "K" is written on its prongs for easy differentiation from other Forge Discs. Due to the holes in the Disc, Most of the weight of Knuckle is focused around its perimeter giving it high Outward Weight Distribution which results in excellent Stamina properties. However, it lags behind other Forge Discs like Spread and Gravity in terms of Stamina potential.
Although, one advantage Knuckle holds over the aforementioned Forge Discs is increased Burst resistance which only falls behind Down and Armed, both of which suffer from scraping issues and low Stamina respectively. Due to its good Stamina, decent weight and high Burst resistance, Knuckle was once an excellent Forge Disc for all kinds of Combinations. However, Knuckle has one major weakness, the protrusions nullify Life After Death potential which is detrimental in the current Life After Death centered metagame.
Performance Tip - Yielding
Main article: Performance Tip - Yielding
Yielding features a cone shaped tip made of PolyOxyMethylene (POM) thermoplastic rather than traditional plastic, akin to Metal Fight Beyblade's Polish Defense. Yielding's gimmick is that the POM plastic has less friction against the stadium floor than traditional plastic, increasing a Combination's Stamina. Embossed into the top of the Performance Tip is a stylized 'Y' for easy differentiation.
Due to the lowered friction, Yielding yields high amounts of Stamina and procession time, however this low friction also brings lowered KO resistance and stability. The stability issue is further exacerbated by the angle of the cone; unlike Metal Fight Beyblade's Defense Tip, the angle of Yielding is more acute, akin to Big Wide Defense, causing an increase in the risk of floor scrapes. It is possible to improve the stability somewhat by wearing down the tip, however the low friction means that this takes time.
The advantage Yielding has over other Performance Tips such as Revolve and Defense is greater Burst resistance as the low friction means that there is less force to be taken by the teeth or slopes of a Layer.
