Shadow Amaterios 0 Xtreme' (シャドーアマテリオス・ゼロ・エクストリームダッシュ, Shadō Amateriosu Zero Ekusutorīmu Dasshu), stylized as Shadow αmaterios 0 Xtreme', is an Attack Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Cho-Z Layer System. It was released as a CoroCoro Exclusive Booster in Japan in August 2018 for 1296円.

Energy Layer - Shadow Amaterios

Main article: Energy Layer - Shadow Amaterios

Takara Tomy's Shadow Amaterios (or Yamiterios) is an Attack Type Layer that features 2 sets of 5 alternating blades. Like its successor Shining Amaterios, the center of the Layer features the Layer's namesake: Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology. As part of the Cho-Z Layer System, Shadow Amaterios features metal in its design: 5 of its blades are lined with metal and have plastic components that can extend outwards to expand the Layer's attack range. The other set of 5 blades are static, featuring 2 plastic protrusions each. Compared to Shining Amaterios, Shadow Amaterios has more rugged extendable plastic blades and is half a gram heavier. In theory, this creates a versatile Attack Type Layer, that has both continuous strikes and powerful strikes from the 5 metal-lined blades.

In reality, the shape of Shadow Amaterios is poorly suited for Attack combinations, with the gaps between blades being too small. In addition, the extension gimmick rarely activates. Consequently, Shadow Amaterios is best suited for Stamina combinations, as its shape works well in Same-Spin and Opposite-Spin Stamina matchups.

Like many other Cho-Z Layers, Shadow Amaterios can increase weight and reduce Burst risk with the use of a Level Chip that fits underneath the Layer.

Forge Disc - 0

Main article: Forge Disc - 0

0 is a symmetrical Forge Disc that's elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. Each side features one protrusion, each wide and smooth enough to almost make the Forge Disc perfectly circular if not for the notches needed to add a Disc Frame and a molded "0" on each side. The protrusions extend further and are thicker than most other Forge Discs which makes 0 one of the heaviest Forge Discs and implies high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) and Stamina potential. In reality however, more weight is focused towards the center, which creates Centralized Weight Distribution (CWD) that reduces its Stamina to that of 2's. As such, 0 is outclassed by 7 for Stamina Combinations but 0's greater weight makes it ideal for Attack and Defense Combinations. Furthermore, the round shape of 0 creates high Life-After-Death, even without the use of Disc Frames such as Cross. While the weight can increase the risk of Bursts, the weight of most SwitchStrike/God Layers and Cho-Z Layers can compensate.

Performance Tip - Xtreme'

Main article: Performance Tip - Xtreme'

Xtreme', like its predecessor Xtreme, features a flat rubber tip with a circular depression in the center that sits at the standard height. Unlike its predecessor, Xtreme' features a much thicker spring in its locking mechanism, increasing Xtreme''s Burst Resistance and solves the weakness featured in its predecessor.

Due to surface area to friction ratio, Xtreme' will create a highly aggressive, and if launched with a Banking Shoot, somewhat controllable movement pattern. In terms of speed, because it uses softer rubber than its predecessor, Xtreme' is faster than Xtreme and is as fast as or slower than Jolt or a worn Variable. Xtreme''s high speed allows for strong attacks and its high friction creates less chances of losing the Banking Pattern in battle making it the best choice for Attack Combinations at the time of writing.

However, Xtreme' has two major weaknesses. Firstly, the high friction of the rubber means that Xtreme' has incredibly low Stamina, furthermore, the light weight of early Burst System Combinations compared to previous Systems means that there is less inertia, exacerbating the Stamina issue further. Secondly, Xtreme' will wear down with use, decreasing its aggression with little to no improvement to the tip's Stamina, meaning that multiple copies must be purchased in order to replace worn ones. Furthermore, Xtreme''s softer rubber wears down more quickly than Xtreme's.

Like other Dash Performance Tips, Xtreme' features a stronger spring lock, increasing the Performance Tip's Burst Resistance.
