Slash Valkyrie 8'Cross Revolve Retsu (スラッシュヴァルキリー・エイトダッシュクロス・リボルブ・烈, Surasshu Varukirī Eito Dasshu Kurosu Riboribu Retsu) is a Stamina Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It was released in Japan on July 12th, 2019 for 7560円 as a part of the Legend Star Bey Set.

Gatinko Chip - Valkyrie

Main article: Gatinko Chip - Valkyrie
The motif is of the goddess of battle, Valkyrie. A right-spin Gatinko Chip with two large and hard locks.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Valkyrie is a right-spin Gatinko Chip that features an armored face with a stylized V adorning the helmet, intended to represent the Gatinko Chip's namesake, Odin's handmaidens in Norse mythology, Valkyrie. Valkyrie has a standard weight for Gatinko Chips, and the high Burst Resistance. Valkyrie features two hard locks, giving it high Burst Resistance, even when a Dash Driver is not used. When paired with the Goku Layer Weight, Valkyrie is an excellent Gatinko Chip to use in right-spin Combinations.

Layer Weight - Retsu

Main article: Layer Weight - Retsu
A Weight built into a Layer. A heavy Weight that creates a blurred attack with its three weight points.
— Official Description

Retsu has three hexagons, one on the right side and two on the left side. That means most of the weight will be concentrated on one side of the Beyblade the Retsu weight is on. Also, the Retsu weight's hexagons don't have that much detail, they are just basic, thus having less weight than detailed weights like Sen and Goku. Being that the weight of Retsu is low compared to more-detailed layer weights stated in the previous sentence, Retsu is heavily outclassed and has no use in combinations.

Layer Base - Slash

Main article: Layer Base - Slash
An Attack Type Base that powerfully flicks the opponent with three large upper blades.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Slash is a Right-Spin Attack Type Layer Base that features three upward slanted wings as the primary points of contact, akin to its predecessors in the Valkyrie Energy Layer line. As part of the Gatinko Layer System, Slash is compatible with any Right-Spin or Dual-Spin Gatinko Chip. While the three-sided shape implies Slash has high Attack potential, the wings are too short and do not protrude far enough to make decent contact. While its aggressive shape has moderate Attack potential, Slash is outclassed by Judgement for right-spin Attack Type Layer Bases.

Forge Disc - 8'

Main article: Forge Disc - 8'

8', like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Disc Frame. 8' is essentially a wider and lighter version of 8, with higher Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) due to its wider shape. As a result, 8' has higher Stamina Potential than its predecessor. Like 8, 8' features four protrusions on each side. Each of the protrusions features gaps, akin to Knuckle, which takes weight away from the center and creates high Outward Weight Distribution. However, like other heavy Forge Discs with high Outward Weight Distribution, the use of 8' decreases Burst Resistance as a trade off.

Disc Frame - Cross

Main article: Disc Frame - Cross

Cross features a diamond shape with protrusions on each corner, akin to Force, at an upward angle. While too small to come into contact with the opponent's Layer, the relatively round shape of Cross grants the highest Life-After-Death out of all Disc Frames. In addition, the upwards angle of the protrusions ensures that they will not scrape against the stadium floor.

Performance Tip - Revolve

Main article: Performance Tip - Revolve

Revolve features a sharp tip of a small diameter surrounded by a free spinning ring, akin to the Around Sharp Performance Tip from the Metal Fight Saga. The sharp tip of Revolve provides low friction with the stadium floor, resulting in high Stamina and Burst Defense properties. While the small diameter of the sharp tip may imply easy Destabilization, the wide diameter of the free spinning ring helps maintain Stability. The wide diameter of the ring also provides Revolve high Precession time which is useful against Opposite-Spin and Mobile Stamina Combinations. Furthermore, when launched at an angle, the free spinning ring of Revolve makes more contact with the stadium floor resulting in decent Knock-Out Resistance, however said Knock-Out Resistance still lags behind that of Orbit and Atomic due to the lower surface area and some Beyblades that are off center are easier to Burst.

In the current metagame, Revolve is best suited for Pure Stamina Combinations due to the release of Atomic. However, Revolve's spring lock is stronger than that of Atomic and Orbit's, allowing it to be a safer choice for Layers with weak teeth such as Deep Chaos.

Due to considerable manufacturing variations, Bladers must be careful when using this Tip. Some variations of Revolve do not spin freely as they should, and the disc becomes very stiff to tilt. Others have the disc pop out after significant usage. For competitive use, the most free spinning one is ideal. The chances of obtaining one, however, are random.
