Spike Lizard is a special Defense-type Beyblade that comes with a lot of rollers. It was a Coro-Coro Beyblade available only via order from the magazine.
This Beyblade was featured in a special chapter of the Beyblade manga where it was pit against Daichi's Gaia Dragoon. It featured the powers of invisibility, and beat Daichi on his first try. On the second try, Daichi was able to beat the Spike Lizard with his new found strength after training and he upgraded his Gaia Dragoon to Gaia Dragoon V. Using his intellect, Daichi was able to pinpoint the Beyblade's location by listening to the sound of the rollers.
Hikaru then uses Spike Lizard against Kai's Dranzer G in the G.B.C. qualifications rounds but loses to him.

- This is the third Beyblade to feature rollers, the others being the roller Beyblade of the plastic series' 4-layer system.
- The gimmick is completely ineffective and as such the parts have no use.
Spike Lizard could be considered an upgrade to Roller Defenser in the sense that it has an additional 4 wheels (6 in total) which the design was originally based off of. Although the overall defensive gimmick was improved on, it does not achieve any use because of it flaws from its shape in combination with wheels. This should only be sought after by collectors because of its rarity value.
