Energy Layer - Storm Spriggan[]

The motif is of the treasure protecting giant, Spriggan. A right-spin Balance Type Dual Layer that combines offense and defense with its two upper heavy attack blades and its two lower defense blades.
— Official Description

Takara Tomy's Storm Spriggan is a rather elliptical Energy Layer, and somewhat resembles its predecessor, Spriggan. This Layer has two main contact points protruding from the under layer at the extremities of its oval, which are each followed by a similar-looking blade composed of the polycarbonate over layer and a square-shaped projection that also serves as a location for the screws. While such an aggressive design might indicate potential usefulness in Attack, the Energy Layer is made useless by its teeth, which are smaller than the teeth of Chaos, which are reputed to perform poorly. As the teeth on Storm Spriggan are completely unfit to manage the rotational recoil the aggressive shape of the Layer subjects them to during collisions, it Bursts itself very easily and should not be considered for use in competitive play.

Forge Disc - Knuckle[]

Main article: Forge Disc - Knuckle

Knuckle is a circular Forge Disc with six notches around the perimeter and four holes near the center of the Forge Disc. The letter "K" is written on its prongs for easy differentiation from other Forge Discs. Due to the holes in the Disc, most of the weight of Knuckle is focused around its perimeter giving it high Outward Weight Distribution (OWD) which results in excellent Stamina properties. However, it lags behind other Forge Discs like Spread and Gravity in terms of Stamina potential.

Although, one advantage Knuckle holds over the aforementioned Forge Discs is increased Burst Resistance which only falls behind Down and Armed, both of which suffer from scraping issues and low Stamina respectively. Due to its good Stamina, decent weight and high Burst Resistance, Knuckle was once an excellent Forge Disc for all kinds of Combinations. However, Knuckle has since been outclassed by heavier Forge Discs.

Later releases of Knuckle by Hasbro, particularly the ones included with Poison Cyclops C5 Knuckle Guardian-H and the Evolution Trio Spryzen 3-Pack, are noticeably lighter, at about 18.5 grams compared to the 20.2 grams average.

Performance Tip - Unite[]

DriverUnite
Main article: Performance Tip - Unite

Unite features a flat rubber tip with a sharp plastic tip in the center that sits at the standard height. When launched straight down into the stadium, the sharp tip in the center will keep the Beyblade stable and still in the center, preventing Stamina loss.

When a mint condition Unite is either knocked off balance by an opponent or launched at an angle, the rubber will make contact with the stadium, creating an aggressive movement pattern with speeds similar to Xtreme. However this aggressive movement is somewhat unreliable as the sharp center can slow it down in the center of the stadium or stop the movement entirely.

When worn however, instead of creating aggressive movement when struck, the rubber will instead act as brakes against a Knock-Out, at the cost of Stamina, before going back to the center of the Stadium due to the sharp tip.
