Achilles A8 is a Strike Chip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the QuadStrike Starter Pack, Zeal Achilles A8 Giga-Q Massive-Q+Quattro II-10.
Description
Hasbro's Achilles A8 is a left-spin Strike Chip that features an armored face and a shield, representing the Strike Chip's namesake: the Greek mythological hero, Achilles. Achilles A8 has an average weight for Strike Chips and average Burst Resistance.
Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Achilles A8 is only left-spin, and not dual-spin. Despite not having dual-spin capabilities, non-functional details resembling tri-wing screws are molded onto the chip.
Overall
QuadStrike System Layers are heavily outclassed by releases from Takara Tomy in the Cho-Z Layer System and onward.
