Dragon D8 is a Strike Chip released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack.
Description
Hasbro's Dragon D8 is a right-spin Strike Chip that features the head and claws of a dragon, the Strike Chip's namesake. Dragon D8 has an above average weight for Strike Chips and high Burst Resistance.
Unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, Dragon D8 does not have the "Bound Attack" gimmick. Despite this, non-functional details resembling the spring used for the gimmick are molded onto the Strike Chip.
Overall
QuadStrike System Layers are heavily outclassed by releases from Takara Tomy in the Cho-Z Layer System and onward.
As such, Hasbro's Dragon D8 is recommended for collection purposes only.
