Superking Chip - Hyperion
- Main article: Superking Chip - Hyperion 1
Takara Tomy's Hyperion 1[1] (or simply Hyperion) is a right-spin Superking Chip that features a side profile of the Superking Chip's namesake, Hyperion, an epithet used by Helios, the god of the sun in Greek mythology. It is the first of two Hyperion Superking Chips.
Hyperion 1 has an average weight for Superking Chips, and is thus outclassed by heavier right-spin Superking Chips such as Hyperion 2 and Solomon, which have metal, as well as Diabolos and Spriggan, which has the versatility of dual-spin capabilities. Since the differences between most Superking Chips is only cosmetic, it is recommended to use the aforementioned Superking Chips over Hyperion 1, as they offer additional advantages.
Ring - Super
- Main article: Ring - Super
Takara Tomy's Super is a right-spin Attack Type Ring that features six blades (a big blade and a medium blade molded together on each side followed by a small blade) that are angled downwards, creating a high recoil shape. As part of the Superking Layer System, Super is compatible with any right-spin or dual-spin Superking Chip and Chassis.
The angled contact points improve its Upper Attack Potential by allowing it to knock the opponent's Layer upwards when colliding, which increases the chances of it knocking out the opponent. To withstand the force of its own attacks, the Super Ring has a thick underside that holds itself and the Superking Chip that's attached a bit higher than the Chassis, which exposes the teeth on the Chassis appropriately, granting great Burst Resistance. Due to the good shape and high Burst Resistance, Super performs well in Attack Combinations.
The contact points on the Super Ring are aggressive, so it may be liable to chipping and denting. If one is fearful of possible performance changes or simply dislikes the damaged appearance, they may want to own multiple copies of this Ring.
Super is designed to line up well with the 1A Chassis, which further increases its Attack Potential and Burst Resistance. However, the 2A Chassis allows it to deliver stronger attacks due to the large rubber blades sticking out and increases the combination's overall LAD by a lot.
Chassis - 1A
- Main article: Chassis - 1A
1A or 1-Attack is a right-spin Attack Type Double Chassis with a symmetrical design featuring four blades. As a Double Chassis, a 1A combination cannot use a Disc, as 1A has a Disc integrated into the design.
Performance Tip - Quick
- Main article: Performance Tip - Quick
Quick features a flat rubber tip with a circular depression in the center that sits at the standard height. Quick is very similar to the previously released Xtreme; however, the rubber tip is a smaller diameter. Compared to Xtreme, Quick offers greater control and Stamina.
Due to surface area to friction ratio, Quick creates an aggressive, and if launched with a Banking Shoot, controllable movement pattern. In terms of speed, Quick is comparable to Xtreme and Jolt. Quick's high speed allows for strong attacks and its high friction creates less chances of losing the Banking Pattern in battle making it one of the best Performance Tip choices for Attack Combinations, along with Xtreme.
However, Quick has two main drawbacks. Firstly, the high friction of the rubber means that Quick has low Stamina, although not nearly as low as Xtreme. Secondly, Quick will wear down with use, decreasing its aggression, meaning that multiple copies must be purchased in order to replace worn ones.
