Tact Longinus 12Expand Trans' Sou (タクトロンギヌス・トウェルブエキスパンド・トランスダッシュ・双, Takuto Ronginusu Touerubu Ekisupando Toransu Dasshu Sō) is a Balance Type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It was released in Japan on October 19th, 2019 for 1080円 as one of the prize Beyblades in Random Booster Vol. 17.

Gatinko Chip - Longinus

Main article: Gatinko Chip - Longinus

Longinus is a left-spin Gatinko Chip that features two dragon heads representing the Gatinko Chip's namesake. Longinus has a standard weight for Gatinko Chips, and high Burst Resistance. Its high Burst Resistance is due to its two hard locks, akin to Valkyrie. This gives Longinus high Burst Resistance, even when a Dash Driver is not used. Its symmetrical shape also gives it good balance, and making it one of the best options for left-spin Layer Bases. When paired with the Goku Layer Weight, it can even rival Diabolos 1 in terms of sheer weight, and additionally has much better balance, making it an ideal choice for left-spin Layer Bases.

Hasbro's Pro Series Lúinor is virtually unchanged from Takara Tomy's Longinus. but manufactured with weaker materials.

Layer Weight - Sou

LayerWeightSou
Main article: Layer Weight - Sou
A Weight built into a Layer. A Weight that enhances the Balance performance of the Base with the weight concentrated in the center, and also enhances the Attack performance with the weight distributed in two places on the left and right.
— Official Description

Sou is shaped similarly to Metsu, but it only has two hexagons, one on each side. This makes it one of the lightest Layer Weights. Sou has very little use, given even Sen, Zan, and Retsu outclass it for usage as generic weights for different types. Sou does not offer anything that is better than any of the weights that are used more often. Sou is intended to provide a central weight distribution, however, this barely has any effect.

Forge Disc - 12

Disk12
Main article: Forge Disc - 12

12, like other even numbered Core Discs, is symmetrical and elliptical in shape in order to facilitate a Frame. Each side features three protrusions with the center protrusion in each set featuring molding in the shape of a "12" and four holes in the center, akin to 6. While the aggressive design of the Disc may imply high Burst potential from Disc-to-Layer contact, due to the fact that most Burst Performance Tips are of the same height, such contact is rare. Furthermore, 12's design is so aggressive that there have been numerous cases of the Disc severely damaging Layers that collide with it. Finally, 12 is the lightest Disc at the time of writing, lighter than even Armed which severely hinders Attack, Defense and Stamina potential. While the light weight would create high Burst Resistance, the heavy weight of the SwitchStrike/God Layer System and the Cho-Z Layer System makes the use of lightweight Discs for Burst Resistance obsolete.

Disc Frame - Expand

FrameExpand
Main article: Disc Frame - Expand

Expand is a round, wide Disc Frame with four smooth blades, with six gaps in total. This design, like the Maximum Garuda and Air Knight Energy Layers, is intended to produce Upper Force. In theory this Upper Force will help "lift" the Beyblade, lowering friction between the Performance Tip and the stadium floor to improve Stamina. In practice however, the blades instead create air resistance when spinning and slow the Beyblade down. The round design of Expand creates high Stamina and Life-After-Death (LAD), as its wide shape prevents the Energy Layer from touching the stadium floor when the Beyblade is tilting. Its LAD capabilities are comparable to those of other popular Disc Frames such as Cross, Glaive and Proof.

Performance Tip - Trans'

DriverTrans'
Main article: Performance Tip - Trans'

Trans' features an adjustable tip at standard height with two modes, Stamina and Attack, which are switched by twisting the bottom portion of the Performance Tip. Embossed onto the top is a stylized "T" for easy differentiation.

The Stamina Mode exposes a small low angle cone tip meant to make the Beyblade stationary in the center of the stadium, however to accommodate the mode change the cone tip is incredibly small in diameter, unlike Survive. Due to this, the tip is susceptible to being knocked off balance in this mode and with the bulky size of Trans', can lead to risks of scraping, though this effect is mitigated by the low angle of the tip. However, the mode lags behind Tips such as Eternal to due to the lack of a free spinning component.

The Attack Mode covers the cone tip with a flat tip with a hole in the center akin to Zephyr, creating an aggressive but controllable movement pattern with a hybrid of Attack and Stamina properties, ideal for Mobile Stamina Combinations. However the edges of the flat tip has 4 small tabs around it which prevents the tip from catching onto the Tornado Ridge, instead causing it to grind and lose Stamina making this tip a poor choice for Tornado Stalling Combinations.

Like other Dash Performance Tips, Trans' features a stronger spring lock, increasing the Performance Tip's Burst Resistance.
