Thief Phoenix E230GCF or Thief Phoenic E230GCF (シーフフェニックE230GCF, Shīfu Fenikku E230GCF) is a Fire Element Attack Type Beyblade that appears in the anime and manga series Beyblade: Shogun Steel. It is owned by Ren Kurenai. It was released by Takara Tomy in the Zero-G Random Booster Vol. 1 Thief Phoenic E230GCF on April 21, 2012 in Japan, and later in western countries as a Starter Pack (SS-09) in August 2013.
Shogun Face Bolt - Phoenix
- Main article: Shogun Face Bolt - Phoenix
This Shogun Face Bolt depicts "Phoenix", a mythical bird that resurrects from the dead. The design of Phoenix features a phoenix screeching upwards, surrounded by fire that creates the shape of wings.
As with all Shogun Face Bolts, the Hasbro release of Phoenix is cross-shaped rather than the round diamond shape of its Takara Tomy Stone Face counterpart.
Warrior Wheel - Phoenix
- Main article: Warrior Wheel - Phoenix
Phoenix is a three-sided Warrior Wheel, made of three "wings", facing the rightward direction. All three wings feature a varying amount of sized heads of a phoenix as well as smooth, leftward pointing feathers. The mostly vertical, straight continuations of the feathers on the top, create a jagged pattern meant for Attack Type combinations.
Element Wheel - Thief
- Main article: Element Wheel - Thief
Thief is a three-sided Element Wheel that has a flame-patterned wing design with rightward facing feathers. The Fire Element symbol is displayed on the Element Wheel. One of its three wings is larger than the others, which in theory creates an imbalance. In practice however, the effect on balance is negligible due to the Element Wheel's light weight. Like other Element Wheels, Thief is outclassed in every regard by a second Warrior Wheel in a Synchrome. In the WBO's MFB Limited Format, Thief finds use in Attack Combinations, as its three-sided shape synergizes with Warrior Wheels such as Phoenic. While such Combinations have heavier recoil than options such as the Pegasis Wheel, it is still a viable and versatile attacker.
Spin Track - Elevator 230
- Main article: Spin Track - Elevator 230
Elevator 230 (E230) is the first variant of 230, with a gimmick similar to that of Boost Disk 145 (BD145). A large disk is around the 230 Spin Track, with four "connectors" along the exterior of the disk. Unlike Boost Disk 145, the disk freely moves along the Spin Track.
Performance Tip - Gear Circle Flat
- Main article: Performance Tip - Gear Circle Flat
Gear Circle Flat (GCF) is a variant of Circle Flat, and as the name suggests, resembles Circle Flat with a gear-like design. Gear-like ridges line the outer ring, and also appear inside the protrusion, where the flat tip is. The tip of Gear Circle Flat is also wider than Circle Flat, and is comparable to Extreme Flat (XF).

Trivia
- Originally, the English Beyblade community thought its name was Thief Fennec, and was speculated to be based on the fennec fox.
- Its name, Thief Phoenix may be a reference to Ren "stealing" Zyro's technique in her debut.
- Thief Phoenix was the first Beyblade to introduce a variant of 230.
- It is also the first Beyblade in the Shogun Steel series to introduce a part variant.
- Thief Phoenix is the second Beyblade in the Metal Saga to be based on a phoenix, the first being Burn Fireblaze 135MS.
- Initial batches of the Gear Circle Flat mold were prone to breakage- this was fixed in subsequent releases as well as in the Hasbro release.
- Oddly all 3 Hasbro releases of Thief Phoenix E230GCF have a red Thief Element Wheel, which is the anime-accurate color for Thief Zirago WA130HF, and Zirago has a yellow Thief Element Wheel which is anime-accurate for Phoenix.
- Hasbro's Starter Pack release has a flipped Beyblade on the front of the packaging, with a correctly oriented Shogun Face Bolt. A yellow Thief Element Wheel is also shown, which was only released with the Takara Tomy version.
